I stayed with Trident in the last week of May. The summer sun was at its peak but the cool towel and chilled water handout during the airport pick up service really brought the temprature down. The room was excellent and a cool dip in the lovely pool set the tone for the evening. The drinks selection at the bar is good though a little limited. "Samundra" the speciality restaurant hospitality was top class and the wine selection apt for the delicious crabs that they served.

A small property the hotel lacks entertainment facilities for the evening, but for the business visitor the proximity to the airport and the warm hospitality makes the Trident a good choice.

the hotet is located well, for someone who doesnt need to travel away from the airport. the service is goo but it is an out and out business hotel. single restaurant/coffee shop (they do have another restaurant, but its almost merging with the coffee shop). no pool.

I was on a business trip for a deputation in Chennai. Hilton was a well known name, but did not know much about trident. The location is quite convinient - within 5 km from airport, and touching the national highway.

You would expect a noisy climate touching a very busy highway - not a bit. Once in the hotel, it feels serene and distinctly homely. The facilities are very good (the only sour point was that the gym and pool were very scarsely used). The food was excellent, and I loved the break fast.

I stayed there for 15 days, and twice within that there was a gathering within the hotel, which shows they care for you. There was also a relationship person assigned to me, to take care of my needs.

Overall it was a pleasent experience, and I would definately look forward to repeat it.

I had occasion to stay at the Trident in Chennai recently and it was truly a pleasurable experience. Right from the time I was picked up at the airport to the time I was dropped off the next day, the service was unfailingly impeccable. The people in the hotel were courteous and friendly - but never imposing or too obsequious. Too many times in five-star hotels I have had instances of constant disturbances from the hotel staff in the name of service. Service was readily available without being intrusive.
I really regret that I could only stay there for a night.
I would definitely recommend this hotel to any business traveler and leisure travelers as well.
