I stayed in BKR hotel 2 times in 2012 and from 24/1/13 till 28/1/13... So I can really see a lot of prons and cons about this hotel... Mainly the hotel look like a mini Malaysia, since 90% of the rooms occupied by Malaysians.. Only one advantage of the hotel is location... just in between usman road, panangal park and T nagar..shopping hub of Chennai. Other than that noting great about the hotel.. room service is poor,,the towels provided by them is yellow in color!!!!? According to them hot water is 24 hours...but i din get to feel any hot water out of my stay there..its not even warm water... I stayed in Deluxe Room but no coffee making facilities in the room,,no hair dryer.. and even worst... the bathrooms really need to be re done... the water from shower is not flowing in their severage system...water stagnant on the floor and we need to wait for it to flow before continue shower!! This problem has been report to them many times but the management not bothered.. because of stagnant water in the bathroom.. it starts to smell.. As usuall for my 4 night stay i was given same bed sheets..
TV was totally out..even though its a LCD tv but no signal all the time.... according to the management its a cabel problem and not been repaired for 4 days... When i complain again and again and again.. I was told its shutter box problem!! (They are good in giving reasons than improve thier service) Breakfast is out.. they serve same items every day,, idly, vada, kichade (rave or semia) than mini thosai or masal thosai.. continental breakfast is out .. freash juice is fine..they change it everyday to diffrent fruit juice but other than that the menu is pethatic... The restaurant they serve breakfast is too small.. BKR Grand,,pls do something to improve your service

My family of 6 spent 3 nights at the hotel. Seems to be a popular hotel with Malaysians as we ran into a fair number at the hotel. Hotel seems to be understaffed as everything from bellhop to laundry service was very slow. To top it off room service stopped at 10pm.
Rooms were badly cleaned. Bed sheets not replaced and no toilet paper even. ... was not replaced for all the 3 days.
The breakfast was less than desirable and was greeted with unsightly vomit when I went to wash my hands.....
Ran into a fellow guest, an elderly woman, who was asked to vacate her room earlier even though she was told she could check out later as the hotel offers 24hr checkout. She spent the better part of the afternoon on the sofa along the corridor grumbling.

Room Tip: Hope the hotel management look into the gaps. Heard the hotel has a family room configuration that i...

The hotel is located at centre of city. Once out from the hotel restaurant its walking distance for the shopping place such as Chennai Silk, Kumaran's, Saravana Stores and etc. Its only 5 mins walk to pondy bazaar...

The restaurant of this hotel provides buffet breakfast which is really good and they change the menu every single day.....

The rooms not really spacious (not all) but are very clean and the service provided are good...

We arrived at the hotel quite late at night from Tiruchi and were greeted well by the front desk reception who wasted no time in allocating a room for us and the bell boys were fast in getting our bags to the room. We settled in well slept well on day one and all a 3 nights stay at the hotel. The in-house cafeteria was great, serving local cuisine and it was extremely easy to come out and shop. T-Nagar is great place to shop for clothes and accessories and the location of the hotel makes it very convenient as we can just walk out the hotel as we like and do whatever we want! I strongly recommend this hotel as good medium cost hotel and would go there soon!
There is one thing I have say which may put some people off, we lost on e out hang luggage when the things were loaded into our van on the last day but we are not sure where we lost it! So be careful who handles your bags and plz accompany the person down to the lobby.

I stayed for 4 nights in this hotel.
This hotel was a classic case of a 1st world facility with 3rd world service. The junior staff were very obliging and provided to your needs when asked but the front desk people only give you lip service with no follow-up.
During our stay the hot water system was not working and despite complaints from many guests there was no action from the maintenance guys who were living in denial that all is well without checking. When the complain was raised to the hotel GM (sitting next to the front desk) he answered that I should have told him. Difficult, since the guy was never around until my 3rd day of stay. Obviously his staff never briefed him. The guy can also use lessons on manners and was not very customer friendly. His demeanor was that "we should be grateful to be given a room" instead of "I am happy you chose to stay with us".
Their laundry service is also not too great and you don't want to give them anything expensive. They lost some of our clothes and a few items came back dirtier than what we sent out. Again, staff apologetic and management indifferent.
Location wise, the place was great and within walking distance to some very nice shopping areas. OK

Room Tip: Room 301 was nice and big. I think rooms in the same location every floor should have the same layou...
