Let me at the outset say that we prefer Little Italy and have been loyal this chain since 2003. We decided to try Tuscana after reading all the 'rave' reviews' ans also because Little Italy serves only vegetarian food.
The food- We ordered Funghi RIpieni, Lasagna Traditionelli (beef lasagna) pepperoni pizza (thin crust, multi grain base) and Focaccia with Proscuitto. Pepperoni pizza was a 9 inch one. It was okay. I thought the Pepperoni on Papa JOhn's pizza has more flavour! My mushrooms stuffed with cheese were indifferent. The Focaccia was also okay. The children loved the lasagna though.
The service- We had to wait a good 10 minutes to literally 'catch' the attention of the waiter. We ordered and were still waiting for glasses of water. Water was served only after the first dish arrived. I thought any restaurant will fill up the glasses first! Later when we exhausted our water, our waiter before filling up the glasses asked us individually if was wanted a refill. I thought this was only water only expensive wine! We had to ask for herbs, olive oil, shredded cheese and chilly flakes to be brought to the table.
Verdict- I should say the restaurant has been able to build a good hype for its restaurant. Its an eatery really, with tables so close and space so tight to feel communal and you are right in the middle of waiters discussing or arguing with each other. For four dishes, the bill came to Rs 2800.
For an eatery to charge a king's ransom for a pizza, focaccia, lasagna and mushrooms without delivering on taste, service and ambience, its a major rip-off.

We are grateful that you decided to try eating at our Tuscana. It's a very, very difficult space to operate in, the restaurant business-it requires a lot of human beings to intersect at just the right place to make it all work out. On that day, I believe we failed in this human aspect that we failed you. We are extremely sorry for your experience. We always encourage specific reviews, as now we are aware as to what we need to improve on. We have taken this up with the manager, chef and with the training department as we continuously work very hard to achieve the high standards we set for ourselves. Thank you for helping us. I sincerely look forward to you giving us another chance. I am sure we will deliver delight.
