“When you want to eat lite n end up heavy”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 15, 2013

Sweet shop, which started selling chats has now transformed into a full fledged eatery but no rice items and rotis etc.
Vedimi poori is one such hot seller, Kachoris and Dhoklas are always on demand and tend to get sold out. Variety of chats where the taste depends on the days maker, not constant.
Ofcourse they have variety of bread products like toasts, sandwiches which have a fan following of their own.
With various options in terms of sweets, Cakes and Badam kheer/Rasamalai to end the meal, you cannot but complain of heaviness.

“Closest u cud get to North Indian stuff”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 27, 2013 via mobile

This restaurant gets closest to authentic north Indian food in Chennai. Closest. The golgappas are a must have. Not a low end restaurant. Avoid on weekends.

“very good sweets..good chat items”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 16, 2013

Had been to this place yesterday, after I heard all the great things about this place. Tried, Pav Bhaji, Chat katori, Chole bhature and finished it with sandesh for dessert. While the chat items including pav bhaji seemed fine enough, Chole Bhature is not the best. At least for someone like me, who has lived in Delhi for 20 years and knows what the true dilli ka chole bhature tastes. What is missing in this bhatura is that sourness that is generated due fermenting of the dough. They should work on it. chole was more of a south indian style.

The sweet range is pretty vast though, and the taste of sandesh was very close to what you get in Kolkata. I assume the sweet range in the restaurant is their core competence. They could do well with ironing out a few items and make it better.

Overall, definitely worth a visit.
