I decided to visit this Hotel after a gap of 9 years(I stayed away due to poor service) on Dec 9 to have lunch with my wife on my Birthday. I called that morning and made a reservation fro 1:30PM. En-route I was stuck in traffic and called them to inform that I will be in by 2:00PM and they assured it won't be a problem.I landed there by 2:00PM and to my shock I was told, pretty tersely that there was no reservation at all. They denied having any knowledge or record of my calls and asked me to wait for a table to get free. Finally they called me in by 2:15 and we started having lunch. The service was very poor and we had to remind them at least twice before getting any attention. To top it all by around 2:30 the food variety was getting quite limited, since they ran out and by the time we reached dessert it was all gone. Overall this was a terrible experience and I guess Taj is off my list for good.
