“Hottest shower in India”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 28, 2013

For the mot part, I would have rated this hotel at "average", but the level of comfort that this provided bumped it up to "very good". This hotel had a very comfortable bed, TV with lots of channels, and most importantly, a seemingly never-ending hot hot shower. After two weeks without a decent shower, after leaving the Umaid Mahal, I was like a new woman.

The staff I found to be very helpful, quick, and efficient, with the exception of in the restaurant, where things were moving rather slow.

Overall, a nice stay, and recommended for that amazingly luxurious shower.

I drove from UK to India by road www.glasgow2goa.com, staying in number of hotels. Subsequently i travelled all over India and Umaid Mahal was the last of my hotels in India. It was an amazing experience with spacious rooms, good breakfast, not to bad swimming pool on a hot day and good location. The hotel is done up to good standards and gives one an insight in Rajasthan on its own....a must for a European traveller.

Amazing experience, just one concern. As there are two Hotels in the same vicinity by the same name, with just one word difference i went to another hotel which was Umaid Bhavan Heritage Hotel. As there was no guard available at that particular hotel, i left my cab and went inside. Later on i came to realise that this ain't the right one and had to wait for next 20 minutes to get the things streamline.

Was helped by the Hotel Staff to overcome this situation and i appreciate there effort to make me feel comfortable. Hotel, rooms and services are excellent, waiting for my next trip to Jaipur and visit the same hotel Again.

This hotel is as it is as promised. I like the overall experience staying at this hotel. Staff was co-operative and helpful. It was taken care to make the overall ambience of the hotel look like some palace though not in size but at least in form of art on walls and furniture at different places. Rooms were nice. Only I thing I dislike is the 21" TV in room. I expected LCD which is very common these days.
Overall it was good stay at this hotel and I recommend stay here

Hi.
I visited jaipur in june 13 with my family. Stayed at umaid bhawan. Actually umaid palace and umaid bhawan run by same family so if u book in either of one, you can choose either as an option. This is plus point in this. Anyhow both the properties are 500 m apart and both are very nice.
Food is very good. Pool is very nice. I took my driver with me, there is no place for your drivers to take rest. Wifi was complementory but after repeatedly asking got the wifi access on the 2nd night of the stay. Anyhow those are minute things. So overall I will give 4/5 to umaid. Keep it up with the service, food and the price for what it comes.

Room Tip: If you are here for noisefree peace lesuire trip- take 2nd floor rooms

Interior , exterior beautifully done up, loved the feel of the place.
The Breakfast buffet was a boon , especially with two little kids to please, the staff was very friendly, prompt and polite.
In our first room TV had issues , and we were promptly offered a new room, and since the first room was on the ground floor with no view , on our request the new room we got was one with a view and a balcony.
Overall beautiful , clean and comfortable place to stay at in Jaipur. The very prompt and ever smiling staff makes the stay all the more nice.
