“Bravo AV”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 3, 2014

It was a brief holiday just for a day and night stay at AV and indeed as reviewed by many TA members, the villa have lived up to its reputation. The property is clean with well-behaved staff and very prompt service. It was my 5th time to Jaipur where I'd stayed at many places suggested by TA. I traveled with a friend (1st timer to Jaipur) and he was really impressed at the place and the price. I found this place worthwhile and I would, without a doubt, recommend anyone to have a first hand experience at this villa.

Breakfast at the lawn would definitely gives one a grandiose feeling.

I would like to say thanks to Mr Lokesh at the reception and Mr Ohm Sharma (Manager) for a very special extra effort/ service to me. Well, I forgot my small camera at one of the drawls, only to realize after I reached my home in Delhi the next day. Immediately, I called AV and Mr Lokesh answered and assured that the Camera would be sent via courier at their own cost. I was so ashamed of my carelessness and AV's generousity. As promised, the camera reached my home address by courier the very next day.

Thanks once again to Anuraag's Villa. Keep Up the Good Work.

Room Tip: Lawn Facing Room would be preferable

We got this accomodation warmly recommended from somebody we met travelling. And really - she did not promise us too much!
Even the cheapest rooms were nicely furnitured (we especially liked the old black and white pictures on the wall) and very clean. There was a comfortable matress, really warm bedcovers, plenty of hot water and good Wifi. Staff was extremely friendly - and for a place in this price range - unbelievably professional.
We enjoyed the peaceful garden very much. It's sad that there are so many big buildings around the garden, but for a big city a garden like this is a paradise anyway. I especially liked to watch the peacocks when they visited.
There is a small restaurant. We liked breakfast very much, but dinner was not to our taste. It's probably nice for Western people who do not like spicy Indian food. But for us it was a bit bland and not very authentic.

Anuraag Villa was a haven from Jaipur which is very full-on and hectic. It’s a bit further out of town but this was probably a blessing in disguise as it was a much quieter area and an auto rickshaw was so cheap to take us everywhere (plus Jaipur’s not exactly a pedestrian friendly city).

The big garden at the back was great to sit in at breakfast time or to read a book and escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. We had a large room which was spotlessly clean, as was the bathroom.

The breakfasts were really good – delicious scrambled eggs and toast for 50p. The dinner was tasty too and just as cheap.

The staff were all very friendly and helpful, even when we checked in late at night.

We would definitely recommend Anuraag Villa!

I chose this place based on other reviews and was not disappointed. The major plus points in favor of this place is the cost, cleanliness and a very warm and courteous staff. The food is good and reasonably priced, a charming garden to relax outdoors. A great place to stay with family.

This hotel is in a nice old villa with a beautiful backyard. It was a little fresh in the Winter but I had this experience throughout Rajasthan. The food at the restaurant was good and convenient, although the service was not great. One waiter in particular ignored all foreign guest, since he didn't speak English. I don't want to give a worse rating though to the hotel for that. The staff at the reception are very friendly and welcoming. One more suggestion: Don't book the tuk tuk driver who picks you up at the train station to go to Amber. There is a direct bus (#5) which goes directly from the hotel (5 min walk) to Amber and costs 20INR.

I arrived quite early at about 4 in the morning and i was told that the room was still occupied and checked me in to the Super Deluxe Room since the cheaper Semi Deluxe Room that i had booked online was still occupied; which they let me use for the day till a semi deluxe room was available for no extra charges.

The rooms were comfortable & neat and there was hot water available 24 hrs; with a good restaurant and well maintained garden. I had initially booked my stay for a week and since there was not a lot to do in jaipur for a whole week i left after about 4 days and without any hassles i was refunded, and they further went on to call me after a few weeks to check if agoda.com had done so. I cant say enough about how courteous and professional all the staff at anuraag villa were ... xxxx Peaceful and convenient location, good food, 24 hrs hot water, free wi fi, clean rooms, great ambiance, fantastic staff ...
