“A nice hotel”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 11, 2012 via mobile

A nice hotel with clean and comfortable rooms. The location is in a residential area away from the noise of Jaipur but still within a short auto ride of the station and tourist attractions. The benefit of this is a lovely relaxing garden. Having stayed at a number of other hotels I do think this place was slightly overpriced and the place looses a star for the puppet show (put on nightly) which we felt obliged to watch and were then expected to tip for which left a slightly sour feeling. Food good and staff helpful.

Anuraag Villa does a very good job of providing all the basic amenities and luxuries that a budget conscious traveler can ask for. My and my wife had a very good experience. A special mention must be made of Mr. Om Sharma, the manager who was extremely helpful and approachable at all times. He even helped us in our last minute search for a hotel in Pushkar well after we had checked-out. Rooms are basic but clean and spacious. Bathroom is clean and comfortable and shower has an excellent jet with hot water consistently available. Food too is good and reasonably priced. The only minor problem is that the hotel is located slightly far-away from the old city area, where all the tourist attractions are located. They also have a nice little garden where we used to break fast with delicious parathas. On the whole, we look forward to visiting Anuraag Villa again when we visit Jaipur.

I spent a night and a day with my family of 6 members. I could access their kitchen to prepare some special dishes for my 1 yr old baby. the cooks and the staffs are very helpful and courteous. If required they serve you as early as 6 o'clock in the morning.

The lawn area and the surroundings are very nice.
A perfect example of good value for money.

I stayed here for 3 nights in October 2012 and it was indeed one of the best hotel stays I ever had. Just a kilometer away from station yet so quiet. Rooms were decorated with rajasthani paintings. Hotel staff was extremely useful. The restaurant is one of the best you will get around Bani Park area. Cheers!

Room Tip: Choose the super deluxe studio room with AC.

After visiting various cities in northern India and being well..not so happy with the hotels in them, I thought I must come back and review the one hotel which I was a 100% satisfied with.

Hotel Anuraag Villa is a gorgeous little gem of a place nestled in a scenic garden, in a quiet residential neighbourhood in Jaipur.

We arrived very early in the morning and although it was way before check in time, the friendly receptionist offered us a cup of tea while we waited for our room to be ready.

The room: Nice spacious, airy room with aesthetic appeal. Ceiling painted in the typical Rajasthani style. Good clean bathrooms as well.

The garden restaurant: By far the best part of this hotel. Tranquil and peaceful, with soft lighting and Buddha statues adding to its beauty, you may come across the occasional peacock running across the roof here. Comfy lounge chairs to soak up the morning sun, and intimate candlelit tables perfect for romantic dinners make it the ideal beginning or end to a hectic day in Jaipur.

Food: Indian food was good here. So was breakfast..especially the banana pancake!

Hospitality: Service was good. At night they have a cute Rajasthani puppet show on display for guests.

Synopsis: Worth every penny we paid. This beautiful place is what made us enjoy Jaipur so very much!

This hotel was closer to the transportation hubs than the main tourist attractions, which were just a rickshaw ride away. The rooms were clean and the restaurant food was good. The free internet access was helpful. The staff was generally very kind. I did have one issue though, which makes me give this hotel a three star rating versus a four...the staff recommended and booked a horrible "tourist" bus to Pushkar for me. It would have been far easier and nicer to take the train/bus or just a local public bus to my next destination, but they were certain about this company. (Many other passengers on this bus complained about the service, including Indian customers.) The hotel staff received double the commission for the booking than any other passenger on that bus. It was truly an awful experience, and I felt like a fool for trusting the staff (giving them a substantial tip) at the hotel for making the accommodation. Be careful using booking/transporation support at this hotel!!!!

Having been in India for four weeks, by the time we arrived in Jaipur we desperately needed the comfort Anuraag Villa provided. The location, confidence with food and housekeeping were a blessing. Advanced bookings on line can sometimes be a bit of a lottery but in this case it was first prize.
An incident that illustrates their attentiveness came early. Having breakfast in the garden I casually looked in my empty cup for cleanliness ( unecessarily I might add but that's me ) and out of nowhere appeared host and owner Rajeev Zochan who observed my action inquiring if there was a problem. That did it for me. No more need be said, I would tick 6 stars if they were available !

Room Tip: Location makes all rooms acceptable.
