“Sweet deal of a place in Jaipur”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 26, 2011

One of the friendliest and cleanest places we've stayed in while traveling through India for the past 1.5 months. We got their cheapest double room which was a great value for what you're paying (800 rupees) after searching a couple other guesthouses that were pretty much in the same price range but nothing close to the quality and character of Anuraag. The garden area is a great escape from the busy city noise and it's about a 20 minute walk to the Old City. Heads up though that the food seems to take a while for their on-site restaurant. Otherwise, highly recommend this place for your stay in Jaipur.

After terrible experiences in New Delhi and Agra, we were extremely happy to have found this Hotel in Jaipur through TripAdvisor. Finally a place were people are nice and friendly fron the heart and not because of the tip. The service was excellent and friendly. The restaurant has very tasty traditional food and a very good chocolate ice cream. The best part: the area where the hotel is located, is very calm and their garden nice and cool.

I have the kindest words about Anuraag Villa. Located in a very peaceful neighborhood of Jaipur, near the train station, i was impressed with the staff, the restaurant and the room. Spacious and clean, the room also had a thing i rarely enjoyed during my 3-week trip to India: hot water at any time of the day or night. The staff was really helpful and the small restaurant is located in a very nice high-walled interior garden i'll always remember.

But the reason for which i dont give Anuraag Villa five stars is the tour i booked through the hotel. Our driver's name was Abdullah and i was quite disappointed with him. He always said that we decide everything as far as our tour is concerned but every time we preferred not to follow his "earnest" recommendations we had to insist! hard! I almost didn't see Jawa Mahal because of him! He also offered to take us to a silk cooperative, supposedly helping orphans and widows from a small village near the city. Ha! He repeated so many times he does that only for his karma that i stopped believing. And man, no charity cooperative haggles THAT hard. I left the place with the feeling that i and my friends have helped no orphans but only filled some greedy shop owner's pockets. Also, we asked Abdullah to take us to Amber, but at the entrance where we could ride elephants to the fort. He took us to the other entrance, where we had to pay 350 rupees for a jeep. Very disappointing!

I repeat, Abdullah is the ONLY reason Anuraag Villa receives four stars instead of five from me.

in November I stayed here for 5 nights with friends. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the meals delicious and all the personnel were delightful. We loved the garden for resting and eating. The staff were helpful with information about the city and getting about. Also they gave us a mattress to have on the floor for an extra person rather than paying for an extra room. we left our luggage there when we went away for 1 night and they gave the driver of our car a room upstairs.

Room Tip: All the rooms are comfortable

I really enjoyed my stay at Anuraag Villa, The rooms are spacious and fairly clean. Corridors and restaurant area are spotless. The villa is located at walking distance from the station in a quiet part of Jaipur so you are not woken up by any traffic noise at night.
The staff is amazingly helpful, makes you feel genuinely welcome and are not waiting to be tipped every 5 minutes.
The main attraction is the beautiful garden. No need to go out for dinner as they serve very good food in the garden from an open kitchen where you can see your food being prepared. I would recommend the villa to anyone staying in Jaipur. It was the best value for money on my India trip.

I stayed here with my parents, family friend and brother after my sister's wedding. We stayed for 5 days. We loved the happy and helpful staff, garden restaurant. The rooms were clean and tidy warm and welcoming. The hotel has beautiful detailed artwork painted on the ceilings and walls. The hotel is about 20mins by car out of the old town markets. It was easy to get in and out of the city. When we stayed the building next door to the hotel was being demolished so there was a bit of noise and dust in the garden but I wouldn't let that put you off unless you are very noise sensitive.

Room Tip: Ask if the demolition or building is still being undertaken and avoid rooms on that side of the hote...
