Madhuban was the worst hotel we stayed at during our 2-week trip around Rajasthan. It's a beautiful property, but the staff and owner were rude and unhelpful. The person at the front desk recommended a loitering cab driver to us (probably a friend) who turned out to be the most obnoxious driver we encountered during our entire trip. (The driver refused to take us to the Amber fort as agreed, insisted that the earlier price was fair for a half-day tour around the city, and then walked in when we were having a quick bite to eat, furiously gesturing to his watch in an attempt to hurry us up.) When we complained to the owner that he and his staff should be more careful who they let onto their property, and which drivers they recommend to their guests, he laughed it off. When we checked out, we had to point out a false charge on the bill. It was a small charge and, to their credit, they agreed to take it off, but still - it shouldn't have been there in the first place.
