You could get highly better options, in the vicinity of this particular hotel. Would advise to avoid it.
Had given my brand new jacket for ironing to the hotel - The fellow took it to a roadsider ironing shop, which was never informed to us. He even showed us the rate card for ironing at the hotel! Any sane person would assume it would be the in-house laundry.
The roadsider put the hot press on a suade jacket, burning it completely. Even if the ironing was urgent, the hotel should have either refused it, or mentioned it would be going to a roadsider. We would have never given it to him!
Anyways, the fellow comes back mentioning it is just wet and it would be ok in sometime. Well, it was obviously burnt and they started arguing that we cant take responsibility as the roadsider did it. Right, we should say we cannot take responsibility for breaking your TV cuz' someone elses kid came and hammered it!
We complained to the manager Mr. Rathore who agreed to compensate and asked us what we wanted. He was courteous in the beginning. He even caught hold of the roadsider and asked him to cough up the money. We told him and even provided a written complaint, to which he refused to give an acknowledgement. Anyways, we thought we would get atleast a basic compensation for this. The Jacket was worth Rs 7000/- Costed us 3 days stay at the hotel!
After a day, when we came back to him asking for his response, he flatly refused saying that the Hotel management has mentioned it is an outsiders issue and we cannot do anything! This was preposterous! It was the hotel's responsibility, they agreed at first, and now they were acting cocky! When we explained in detail and enquired for the total change in this situation, the manager Mr Rathore went hyper, defensive and said we can do whatever we want to, but nothing can be done!!
Horrible way to treat a customer, when you are pretty much aware its a valid genuine mistake from hotels side. Instead of accepting and compensating, he was aggresively showing attitude and denying it was hotels responsibility.
Oh well, apart from this, the Ironing guy also screwed up one more customer's clothes on the same day - made green patches on the Kurta while ironing and was acting as if nothing wrong had happened. The mark was so easily visible!!
Not just this. We purchased 8 bottles of Cola, which were unused. So we asked them to take it back. They could cancel the bill too. However after this episode, they refused to cancel the bill. While I was taking the bottles away with me, a staff came running and rudely asked me to return the bottles as they have to return it to their own dealer. They asked me to empty the bottles! For a mere 2 rs or less, you are trying to disrespect a customer!
The service of the hotel is equally pathetic - Smelly and wet towels, No hot water except for a few hours, dirty linen, no water bottles provided, extremely disrespectful Manager and staff! And all this, while the hotel was known and booked through well known relatives.
The management should be shameful of such appalling and disrespectful customer services!
Take customers for granted!
Kindly avoid this hotel even if they offer you dirt cheap rates - We paid for a stay of 2 days + extra 3 days (for the Jacket) even without getting slightest happiness!
