“Sparkling, new and very peaceful”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 22, 2013 via mobile

Escape the hustle and bustle of Jaipur by visiting the Birla Mandir. It was built in 1988 (so is sparklingly new) and is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. There are gorgeous stained glass windows (in my mind unusual in a Hindu temple). Temple is mesmerizing day and night (especially at night when it glows). On the outside you'll also find depictions of great historical personages and figures from all religions (again, unusual to see images of Christ, Socrates, Buddha and Confucius in a Hindu temple!).

Don't miss this gem.

“beautiful like any other birla temples”

this is indeed a beautiful white marble temple and a few hours can be spent here chit-chating and strolling around the temple premises. very less rush and a calm place.

“Pristine white mandir!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 10, 2013

We visited the Birla Mandir at the tail end of our day long trip visiting Jaipur sites. It does look very pretty in the setting Sun, and is a nice place to sit around a bit. There are lovely scenes from Indian epics carved inside. Also serene & quiet to sit inside.
A clear member of the family of Birla mandirs that have come up across the country in various cities, named of course after the sponsors rather than the deities. Small matter that though. They are all beautifully conceived, constructed & maintained to this day.
