Stayed for 2 nights. The common areas at this previous Hunting Lodge are updated and very comfortable. There is a nice billiards room and lounge/bar area. (They also have a tennis court, squash court and ping pong table). The dining room is very nice as well (price of room includes breakfast and one major meal - lunch or dinner). The food was excellent.
The grounds were lovely as well. The pool is nice (it was very cold, but I did swim!). The Lodge use to overlook a lake...now it overlooks green farming land! Still very pretty to look at. Get a room overlooking the field and not the road.
There are only 11 rooms. We first got room #9 (for $135), but was small and overlooked road, so we asked to see other rooms and went with #5 which was huge and overlooked the field ($155).
The rooms themselves are outdated (old furniture, etc.). Surprisingly, the bed mattress was great!
The hotel is located 35 KM outside of Jaipur...and that must be too far for tourists because we were the only ones staying there the first night! The second night, two other people arrived.
The Manager was very nice and told us that the rooms are scheduled to be updated in April 07.
