My antecedent visit in July, 2011 brought me back to the Taj Jai Mahal Palace for the second time on the 29th of June, 2013 and I in company with my family stayed here for the ensuing three nights.
This time too, I had a marvelously mythical experience!
Let me start with the welcome, we were received very warmly and assured that all our expectations this time too shall be met.
Our rooms, 329 and 330 were pretty gratifying but the air conditioning wasn't up to the mark, the only lapse here which might have been so because of the hot weather outside. Once I complained about it, we were immediately shifted to two rooms, 127 and 129, on the ground level which were comparatively way better and sans the only shortcoming of climatization that the former rooms had. But, the central air conditioning of all the rooms, in fact the restaurants as well, need to be done again. We were lucky since some rooms were empty at that time otherwise it would've been a big problem for us!
The food, especially the buffet breakfast, was terrific! Once during our stay, a particular dish wasn't on the dinner buffet but I still got it because of the cooperative staff in there!
Now let's come to the amenities provided to the guests. This property scores a one hundred percent here! From the swimming pool, the little golf course, the lawn tennis court and the chalet comprising the gymnasium, the pool table and the table tennis table, everything was up to the mark and we enjoyed them all! The hammock placed near the natatorium too got a smile on my face every time I saw it! PLEASE GET THE CHESS BOARD BACK! THE BIG ONE RIGHT OPPOSITE THE MARBLE ARCH! I MISSED IT GRAVELY!
And now that I have managed to write something which disappointed me, I would also like to share another concern of mine. There was no one to clean my car! It was in a very sorry state after the unprecedented rains and I was helpless! Please do something about it when I come next time! ;)
Out and out, after having such a lovely experience here, for the second time in a row, why will I, why should I look anywhere else?
When I have people like Mr. Ajay Sharma, the front office manager; Mr. Sandeep Gore, the assistant food and beverage manager; Mr. Aslam, one AWEsome fellow he was; Mr. Rahul, a first month trainee (believe me he's doing very well); Mr. Balbir, very courteous and Ms. Harsha at the reception, who was very friendly and exceedingly affable (she came outside to see us off which left a very humble and lasting impression) to help and render quality service to me then why even think going anyplace other than the Taj Jai Mahal?
My sincere gratitude to not just the pleasing people whose names are mentioned above but to one and all I encountered here! You all are doing a fabulous job! Thank-you!
God bless! :)
