This was our first visit to Jaipur and after a 6 hour road journey from Agra turning into the grounds of the Rambagh was a welcome sight, the setting is beautiful. We had booked a heritage room which turned out to be more like an apartment with fantastic high ceilings, sitting area and huge outdoor terrace. The bathroom was well stocked with molton brown goodies and seperate shower wtc. The pool area at the hotel is really nice if a little shaded and the hotel is well placed for seeing all of the sights in Jaipur. The service was excellent as was the food. If pushed to pick something to improve it would be the afternoon tea which was over priced and not really worth bothering with.
June is extreamly hot in Jaipur and as a result the hotels are open to deals etc, our 2 night stay was at a great rate and despite the heat Jaipur is a must see for anyone going to nothern India.
We also went for dinner at the Oberoi property which whilst nice was well away from the centre of Jaipur, not really ideal unless you have time to spend in Jaipur. For those who want to see Jaipur in a short amount of time but without compromising on luxury then the Rambagh has to be the best option.
