When you stay at a hotel of this standard, there are some very basic expectations that a business traveller has- wifi internet available in room, for instance. In fact, not only was it going to be expensive to use (600 Rupee for 24 hours), but even worse it wasn't working, and it still wasn't working when I left 2 nights later. Rooms were otherwise well-appointed, restaurant wasn't fantastic, but would not stay here again.

After taking a review from tripadvisor, and have been enjoying itc hotel groups hospitality, i booked this hotel in Feb. 2012 but was surprised to find that the word service does not exist in this hotel.
To start with, I will describe the hotel telephone system, all the nos. are mentioned on the dailer but when the phone is lifted immediately the ring starts which is connected to reception.. First of all no one picks up, if by chance anyone pick it up then we have to request him our requirement of room service, house keeping and anyother service, if you are lucky the message will be passed o/wise the staff who took the message must have either forgotton or make himself busy in any other work, resulting have to remind second time, but you will find a different person when u call again. so u have to explain him again about your required services.
Secondly, the property is so old, there is no maintainance in toilets or A/c.
Toiletries and other House keeping service is only supplied if you keep on asking them.
Had the chance of having breakfast on our first day, there were some marraige party guest
who were eating the buffet breakfast as if they have not eaten for days, which resulted
no supply of buffet items, or of poor quality food..
There are atleast seating capacity of 50 guest in zodiac restaurant where breakfast is served
but there were only two waiters serving all the tables and dont know what they have to do..
On my complaiin, the next day the free guest of marraige party was seperated from regular revenue guest. but all other services were as usual poor.

Another interesting incident taken place at the time of check out, the cashier prepared the bill
at his own rate (i dont know from where he got the same) and the price confirmed at the time of receiption on line was not acceptable to him, inspite of showing him the email message receive from the online reservation..
Even the duty manager was called and after strong persuation he agree for the rate mentioned in the confirmation copy provided i submit him the copy of confirmation and the net was not working in lobby, more interesting is when i present my credit card the cashier was unable to charge it, saying my cards are faulty, when i presented him four cards and all was not accepted online, i noticed that his machine was not making call as there was no zero facility available on his instrument, finally i was detained for an hour and i missed my flight due to their nonsense service, which resulted a loss of 16,000 Rs for two pax..
please beware of the ITC group or Welcome Group, as not all their hotels and services are same everywhere, same experience i had even with Taj Group Hotels in India.

Room Tip: Dont choose rooms towards Road side, as it is too noisy all the time

Stayed in this hotel quite few times in 2010 and recently again visited in Jan 2012.

This is above average property with close proximity of Airport and My Business Location.

Rooms are pretty small on side while main (tonk road) facing rooms are bit large, however services are not good. The LCD TV screen is very poor and seems all rejected Chinese TV has been installed. New rooms are so small that even you can't keep your laptop on table as tea / kettle has already occupied the space. space between bed and wall is 2 feet.

Staff is very Polite and Curtice. Lobby is good which they modified in 2011 else there was no lobby just a counter to do ur checkin.

Food is ok and break fast is being served with some options.

Over all hotel is ok, provided you will get good rate else go for marriot which is just opposite and mint fresh.

Room Tip: Look for room on tonk road facing Don't take Lunch / Dinner at Hotel just walk oout of coffe...

We needed to stay for one night before leaving for Delhi from Jaipur. This hotel was good, clean not in the middle of the hustle bustle of the city. However, our room was not the best, two single beds were joined to make it a double bed, and it gave us a bad backache. The switch board and bed lamps were right above our head! We banged into it everytime we got up!
The bathroom was clean but water was leaking from the sink.

Food is average. The reception was also very slow to respond to our needs. But on the whole, it was ok for the price we paid!

Positives:
The hotel is very clean and comfortable (it is very Western). It is very close to the airport. The bathrooms were very nice as well.
Most of the staff seemed friendly.
Negatives:
-There is very little going on around the hotel and it takes over 20 minutes to get to the old city.
-The food here is not very good, and most people that I know at a conference I attended here actually got sick from the food (including myself and my fiance). It is almost impossible to get the waiters attention for water etc.
-Everything at the hotel is overpriced for India. For example, the internet costs 250 rupees per hour ($5US) which is even expensive for the US. A bottle of water cost US$1.50 when I can get it for $.30 outside. They quoted me 750 rupees to go the airport, which is only a mile away!
-They blast smooth jazz throughout the lobby, and there was a speaker right next to my room that woke us up daily at 7:30am. Also, every night the lobby smelled of dead fish, I have no idea what they were doing.
-My hotel key card failed almost every day and they refused to give us 2 key cards for the room, even though it was occupied by two people.

I went to Jaipur for a conference for 1 day, stayed in this hotel,as i was told that it is a new property. Room 116 was VERY small, as a single person i had difficulty moving around the furniture, and this room was meant for 2 people! It WAS CONGESTED, felt like living in a store-attic! The TV was awful, a generic chinese brand with a partially functional remote. Channels available were useless for me. Bathroom was SMALL and there was NO bathtub! No way you can relax in a warm water bath after a hectic day. You have to shower standing like you do in a swimming pool common bath, except that the swimming pool bathroom is bigger!
Dont expect any dossier on room services, a few tattered photocopied pages about In-room dining is kept in a ring file. that's it. You don't even have any notice as to what phone number to call for help, or queries , or for room service. And it is NOT 9 or 0, but 6! i found that out by hit and trial.
No medical shops were available, so i called a local friend to supply me with a headache medicine. My frind dropped it at the counter, and it took the housekeeping boy to deliver it to me about 45 minutes ( i was just one flight of stairs above the counter!)
BUt food was good. Early morning buffet breakfast was ready by 5:30 AM.
Views all around the hotel is drab, and my room opened to a parking lot.

Room Tip: none, all around view is drab
