“Great service, Superior standards and fantastic food - staff well trained”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 1, 2011

Hotel is located perfectly to get to most important historic sites as well as to get to some of the business meetings. The staff is well trained. I understand that the hotel owners have some more fine restaurants in Jaipur and therefore the food offered is great.

We took the suite, it was huge, and they did not charge us for an extra bed! Good for family traveling. Extremely helpful staff, the MD himself, Mr. Arjun took time to talk to us to make sure we were well taken cared of.

Make sure you dine at Handi restaurant too, which belongs to the same owner, it was by far the BEST Northern Indian cuisine we had through out our 10 days in India, price was very reasonable for the quality of food.

It would be much better if there's service provided for pick up from stations.

Had a great time at Hotel Maya Niwas. Arrived in the morning by train and our room was ready for an early check in, at no extra charge. The room we had was very spacious and clean, with a bathroom. The staff were friendly and always available to assist, even the owner made us feel at home. At the time of our visit the restaurant was being renovated. The hotel is located a little way from the hussle and bussle of the town, but close enough to get around easily. Would definately recommend a stay here. The owner also has 2 restaurants in town, both are worth a visit!

What it looks like in the photos the reality sadly just does not come close. There is nothing special about this place. The room was smelly when we entered. The A.C. was not cold at all. I think the filter was choked with dust and to top it there was water leaking from it and I had to place a towel on the floor. I wanted to change the room but the receptionist said the other rooms were more expensive so we had to stay in the leaky room. The hotel is located far from the city centre and it is not easy to get a taxi or a bus.
When I called for toilet paper I had to wait for 1 hr. to get it. Thank god I did not have an upset stomach.
The road leading to the hotel is filthy, more of garbage dump, which stank and I had to literally hold my breath while passing it.
I would not recommend this place to any of my friends for sure.

This is a great hotel. After Pearl Palace mucked up my 'confirmed booking' and then offered me a more expensive room (1500Rps) I walked down to Maya Niwas and got an excellent room for 900Rps/night. This is a modern hotel with new 'western style' bathrooms, large room, extremely clean with 24 hr security , room service and reception . It was the best value hotel I stayed in . Forget Pearl Palace.

Its overwhelming to read what yo feel for our hotel. We try and give our best to our guest.
We do not compare ourself to any other hotel but its a great feeling to know we are compared to veterans like The Pearl Palace.
Thank you once again, hope to see you next time.

The hotel seems to have expertized the culture of hospitality. Staying at Maya looks like a staying with comfort (like a home) and it is very affordable. It is just like staying at Five Star hotel at affordable price.
