“Great variety of Pure Veg”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 27, 2012

This restaurant will please vegetarians. It is a combination of Chinese, Indian and Italian and everything on their respective menus is pure vegetarian. Yes, you heard it right, everything is pure vegetarian. This is probably the largest choice of vegetarian food we have encountered anywhere in town.

Food quality is good but you can expect them to stray from original recipes and well I must admit many of the dishes do tend to be repetitive.

Ambience is good and the place is centrally located.

“Tiny portions, exorbitant prices, decent VEGETARIAN fare”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed May 17, 2012 via mobile

My family and I visited this place in May 2012. Little Italy is very persuasively plugged in Lonely Planet.

The food is tasty, but it has a mean character. Consider:

-- Plain flavours, no real command of spices (bay leaves, garlic, onion, and stock in the Napoli, please!);

-- The ravioli with eggplant and napoli almost had no eggplant (the nicest part!);

-- The pizzas were DUSTED with cheese in such a miserly way. By being so mean with the cheese, their pizzas are overpowered by the canned/pre-sliced olives and canned/pre-sliced artichokes; and

-- No bread served complimentary -- this is just plain wrong for an Italian restaurant;

-- The tagliatelle was served with sliced raw tomato;

-- The portions are miserly.

Think cheapie suburban Italian bistro because that is what we are dealing with here.

The prices are absurd by Indian prices; most pizzas are between USD8-10 each (double the rates mentioned in LP's 2011 guide -- in no way matching currency fluctuations). For a VEGETARIAN pizza.

Advice for owners/chef: See the family that runs Magic Italy in Palolem, Goa. Now that's an Italian mid-range restaurant.

Oh, and three of us got diahorrea -- and we barely ate all day and we ate separately before dinner. So, yes the place is a lemon -- to be avoided.

“Decent Italian food - PURE VEG!!!!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 9, 2012

First ever visit to a pure vegetarian Italian restaurant!! The food was very good but the service was quite poor. The pasta and pizza was good but the starters a little dissapointing. Over all a good dining experience.
