“best-kept private hideaway in Jaipur”

an absolute gem! The haveli has 14 beautifully decorated rooms, each with its individual design oozing of it's Jaipur royal family lineage. The hospitality and attention to guest detail was the best in our India visit- clearly distinguished from plain ole service at other places. The food was excellent, and tasty-you know it was just prepared fresh for you. I thought the malai chicken tikka here was better than Bukhara's in Delhi. Wifi and fresh breakfast being included always makes the guests happy. My two year old was especially looked after, whether running in the grounds, playing in the pool, or just getting the daal of her liking. This "whatever whenever" approach to hosting guests by Pradip Ji, his family, and team makes the place stand-out, and the privacy is the kind that movie stars look for when visiting Palm Springs in California etc. They will help you visit the sites in Jaipur, but staying at the place makes you want to just chill-ax and forget the rest...We felt like king, and will definitely seek this getaway again on our next visit to India.

Room Tip: each room is beautiful, but the suites are worth the extra money to stay in.

We stayed here for 2 nights in November - the hotel was gorgeous!! We had a beautiful suite, that even had a dressing room, all very tastefully decorated! The food was lovely, we had eggs benedict for breakfast and a delicious supper! The staff were very impressive, we arrived late after our train from Udaipur was delayed, the first thing they asked us was whether we would like sandwiches and beer - that's service!!

Dear Guest,
Thank you for your review for The Royal Heritage Haveli, this former Hunting Lodge of the family of Jaipur. We are happy to learn that you were comfortable and enjoyed your stay with us. When a guest is to arrive late at night, as a courtesy, we put in the room some sandwiches and a few bottles of beer with our compliments to ensure, they feel at home, after a long tired day travelling, and need not bother about room service.
It was our pleasure to have you choose us, amongst the other available hotels here in Jaipur, when visiting this pink city.

We stayed in a twin room for 2 nights in September, whilst there was a reduction in price. I'm glad I tried it out as I would come back again any time. If you're happy staying slightly out of the hustle of the city then I recommend you try this charming hotel.

Accommodation

We were in a twin room. Nicely decorated in heritage style (as you would hope). Not a bright room, but still very comfortable. Bathroom was good.

The only reason this isn't a 5 star is that the mattress on the bed was perhaps a little too soft. It reminded me of my staying at my grandmothers house (where you rolled into the middle of the bed).

Food

Very nice. We sat out under the trees and stars in the evening. The tables are nicely spaced, so you have enough space between each other. The owners are very charming, checking that you are enjoying your stay and everything is being attended to.

Breakfast is in the dining room. Good selection of food. Just wish they had a really good coffee. But a small issue in the bigger scheme of things.

Facilities

Lovely. We didn't bring our swimming costumes, but I will next time. After dinner each evening we would sit under the frangipani and splash our feet in the water.

Highly recommend if you are after a heritage property where the owners and staff really care.

Room Tip: I didn't see the rooms, but there are some around a lovely lawn area.

Dear Guest,
Thank you for your review for The Royal Heritage Haveli, and all your good words.
I have noticed your comment on the mattress, the which is 8 inches thick, and the most scientific and comfortable one we use, but had you informed us or the House Keeping staff, we would have certainly made you comfortable and made sure of your getting you a hard bed.
Please excuse us and accept our apologies for not getting to know of your discomfort during your stay with us...
Warm regards

Our stay at RHH was absolutely perfect, such an oasis to return to after a day of exploring the chaotic city. The service we received from this family and their staff went above and beyond what one expects, we were constantly looked after. Because they had availablitly they even kindly let us stay in the room past check out to accomodate our evening travel plans, which I thought was just so generous of them. The food here was fabulous as well, especially for dinner. The room we had booked was absolutely lovely, and very large which was great because it was for three adults. The pool area and garden was a lovely way to unwind after a day of sight seeing. Plus, the dogs! Loved having these two greet us after a long drive from Agra. The only thing to note was that it must be slightly off the beaten path from some of the sites/places to stay as drivers sometime were not sure where it was. Regardless, If I was to return to Jaipur I would stay here again without hestitation. I wish there were more places to stay like this around the world!

our stay at anguelique and pradips' dream haveli was made unfortgettable when anguelique told me the story about her niece wanting to study sculpture in marble, and the sword story, when the man is not in for the picture he´ll be reprensented by his sword. and that other story about us parents doing "the dirty job", and the one about being casted to be the location for the marygold hotel film.
and anguelique caring for us guests and pradip telling me he liked my "state of mind". i'm glad to have been able to enjoy and appreciate such caring and devoted hosts, so in love with their city and their heritage.
please let me recall one more sweet memory: anguelique quietly fading from our view and returning with hand in hand with her daughter, pleased and proud of introducing us to whom we hope will keep their dream alive to future generations.
affectionately
