This hotel was part of a tour, it was our second night and the first hotel in Agra was great. The man on reception obviously didn't want to deal with 2 females and was incredibly rude. As usual in Indian hotels and restaurants there are more staff than you need and we appeared to be the novelty to all. The room was not brilliant, sheets clean but little loo roll, soap was used and had hairs on it - yuk! Air con was appalling, so high it didn't go anywhere, view of a scrap yard. Although we are used to boilers in the bathroom this was in the shower with the plug below the shower head and permanently wet! No tea/coffee facilities, tough 10 minutes after arrival 2 staff came to room to offer Chai, we asked for soft drinks and they were bemused and had to send to a local store for it - they offered beer several times. Food in restaurant was different! We were the only people eating in the restaurant - most ate in rooms. The staff couldn't leave us alone - very annoying. One asked if I would act as his referee if he moved to the UK and wanted my home address and email - dodged that one. Food was great and the chef obviously thought it novel to see guests so came to say hello. Not sure if we can blame it but within 6 hours desperately ill. Avoid - this hotel is in a rough area, you cannot venture out without a taxi
