“Your place in Jaipur”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 week ago via mobile

Hola mundo!
Hello world

For me Baba Haveli is the best choice to stay in Jaipur for this reasons:

1.The owner. A friendly and super confident person. When you arrive to Bava Haveli hotel, he gives you a business card and a map with all the great places to visit in Jaipur and gives you advices for not get cheated by tuk tuk drivers or cheaters.

2.Economy. It is a clean and cheap place to sleep and recovery after a tired day, with hot water and wifi.

3.Quiet. Jaipur as many indian cities is noisy, if you preffer a quiet place Bava Haveli is the option it is just 10 minutes from Jaipur main markets and is in front of Jaipur police station.

4.Food. You can try true indian food at the hotel, it is very good.

5.Ayuvedra massages. The hotel has a deal with an Ayuvedra massage clinic this is a MUST IN JAIPUR.

But the main thing about this small family hotel is that you can absolutly trust in Mr. Viyaj. He can advice you where to buy, which places visit, what to eat and everything about my secons favorite city in India. JAIPUR.

Greetings from Mexico
Raul J. S.

Having arrived late in Jaipur due to a delayed train, my girlfriend and I were extremely relieved and pleasantly surprised by the warm welcome we received from Vijay's son. Once the formalities were out of the way we were keen to shower and get to bed and were duly show to a fantastic bedroom with a great en-suite on the top floor (my girlfriends backpack was carried for her - what a gent!).

Our stay in Jaipur was brief, however, thanks to Vijay, we managed to see most of the sights and really enjoyed ourselves. I can not stress enough how helpful Vijay was to us during our stay - so much so you could be mistaken into thinking that he was maybe overcompensating or being insincere. This is not the case - Vijay is an absolutely perfect example of Indian hospitality. For example, we were struggling making travel arrangements for our onward journeys (Jaipur - Jaisalmer and Jaisalmer - Udaipur) and Vijay took complete control - sending us sightseeing with the promise of it all being arranged upon our return. Guess what? It was!

A few extra positives - the roof top is perfect for enjoying an evening meal, the building itself is really nice, Vijay's sons are just as pleasant and helpful as he is, the place is extremely clean and the air-con worked perfectly.

I have to mention the location - it isn't particularly close to the centre (which actually means it's peaceful and relaxed in the evenings - just what you need after a very very hot day sightseeing) and getting a good price on a took-tuk takes a bit of effort. Vijay will give you a realistic price to aim for though, so it's not too much of a problem.

Cheers.

It was good experience at Baba Haveli, Very traditional and colorful interior . But room size is little small. Otherwise nice experience. Service was good but not excellent, because no hot water supply was available at the room, room interior was soooo good .location was too far from the main city.

It really feels like you came to see your old friends. Seamless and annentive service, heartwarming talks on a counter. Mr. Vijay - the genaral, is a true gentleman, his attitude to work is amazing. One more nice thing is these cool lobbies on each floor where guest from different rooms can lunch together in beautiful artistic environment.

I stayed here while attending the Jaipur Lit Fest. It was a comfortable and pleasant stay. Its not a luxury hotel so dont expect fancy things. Its very comfortable and great value for money. Its CLEAN and extremely well-maintained!!! The wall frescos are beautiful. The hosts are very polite. All the complaints about silly things like you cant eat in your room,no plug points all over the room etc. are very irrelevant if you don't go to holiday in a city to stay in a hotel.

We stayed there in December,2014..Horrible experience. The location is FARRRRRRRRR away from the actual market so You will have to depend on their cabs which is costlier as well for food also you will have to depend on them which is also very costlier. 1 egg omelet costs Rs.90!!! Rooms are very small, damped also suffocate. .Hot water supply is very poor, the washroom quality horrible. The owner also knows how bad the location & the hotel (his home) is. So he will take full advance if you book online because after reaching there no Indians would like to stay there. He only concentrates on foreigners as they are not so aware about locations & The owner takes pictures with them for his business promotion. The location is very very far from main places & you will have to spend Rs.200/- to reach to the actual place. There is not a food shop near the hotel. Don't judge by the photos given.. they mentioned that they have a fort view but actual fort is far far far away from the house.. More over horrible experience.. :(
