Stay here! We booked a four bed room, but when Ramon saw there were only three of us, he suggested we move to the cheaper double room with an extra bed so that we could save money (yes really). These guys went out of their way to help us, arranging (at our request) a driver for the later part of our trip, and helping us to haggle over the price, as well as giving us their phone number and instructing us to call with any difficulties at any time. They showed us how to catch the bus to the amber fort for 15 rupees each, instead of hiring an auto rickshaw for 600 rupees. They looked after our luggage after we'd checked out, and stored our valuables in their family rooms for safekeeping. There was never a request for a tip or commission or extra money, was a really nice change!
We paid 750 (I think) for a double with an extra mattress, and that included a fan and hot water (which was actually hot). Room was clean and extra towels/toilet paper etc provided with no problems. Wifi on the rooftop andin the wifi room. Food is fine, but ask for the bread pizza (not on the menu), its excellent! Location is fine - took us about ten/fifteen mins to walk to peacock palace restaurant, half an hour into the old town, and 2 mins to the bus stop - bus number 5 goes to old town and amber fort
