“Amazing stay at Jaipur Friendly Villa :) we'll be back!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 1, 2013

It's no wonder Jaipur Friendly Villa is #1 in Jaipur on Tripadvisor -- they lived up to this and more.

Our gracious hosts, Shveta and Kul were warm, helpful, friendly, very humorous -- and terrific company to boot! Lovely conversations each morning and evening about travel, culture, tradition and politics. Their home is in a quiet, gated neighborhood relatively close to the main sights and sounds of Old City, only 10 min from the main train station and 25 min from the airport (without traffic).

Our superior room was bright, spacious, relaxing and private, even when staying in a home with others. The bathroom was clean and had all needed amenities. Room also had decent wifi, a flatscreen TV, cold AC, and nice firm bed that gave us two nights of amazing sleep. Tea, coffee and fresh water were provided in-room each day.

Breakfast was a great way to kick off each day -- a hot dish such as omelet or Indian veggies served with bread (pao), toast, fresh fruit, and juice. Shveta's homemade guava jelly is wonderful!

They can arrange a private driver for your stay. Jovindra was professional, prompt and trustworthy -- he made some great recommendations on things to visit or see given traffic and time of day, and he did not take us on unnecessary detours to commissioned stops. He even went out of his way to find us when we got off at the wrong train station! His tip to visit the Chokhi Dhani for nighttime entertainment led to the most relaxing shopping we did on our trip (relatively cheap without the hassle of haggling!).

If you enjoy cooking, Shveta offers a nice cooking class that explores different Indian spices. Making chapatti (roti) on the stove was definitely a highlight :D She can even customize the menu to suit your tastes and preferences. Kul brandished the Kingfisher to contribute to our night of cooking.

On top of the wonderful stay, Shveta gave us a pretty gift upon our departure, to remind of us our time in Jaipur! Thanks for the memories. When we're back in India, we will come again!

Room Tip: Superior room was worth it

We cannot recommend Jaipur Friendly Villa enough. Right from our arrival we felt like old friends with Shveta and Kul - what a wonderful couple to meet and spend precious time with!
Their place is very well kept, and located in a good and quiet area. The rooms are very spacious, clean and comfortable. Shower was fantastic! So was the bed.
Breakfast were delicious and dinner even better.
Shveta knew we were celebrating our 25th anniversary on the day of our arrival, and to our surprise, she had flowers for us and a cake to celebrate the occasion. This shows the level of appreciation that this couple devotes to their guests!
We were glad that Jaipur was the last stop of our trip to India. Had we started in Jaipur, we would have regretted every other place we stayed because Shveta and Kul raised the bar to the highest level!
So, don't bother thinking about staying anywhere else. Jaipur Friendly Villa beats even many super stars hotels!

We loved our 2 night stay with Shveta and Kuhl. Being in a quiet neighborhood is a blessing in India. They made us feel at home the minute we arrived. Shveta's cooking is fantastic and she made me oatmeal on request. Kuhl shared some movies with us in his fantastic media room. The rooms are large, clean, and spacious complete with tea kettle and ac. Don't stay anywhere else. They took care of driver arrangements to Pushkar for us and did our laundry. There is a great restaurant walking distance named Jammies Kitchen....sort of Fusion Indian.

This was the best stay on our 3 week India adventure!

Thank you, the Colorado gang

If you are going to Jaipur- STAY HERE.

Forget any other options- this is the only way!

As soon as I walked in- I felt like I was a part of their family. They spent so much time it was phenomenal. They planned our entire trip out- every detail. Took care of drivers etc.

Shevita's cooking is the best in India- and she is truly one of the sweetest lady's I've ever met.

Kul- is like an old friend- you can talk about anything. Traveling, food, family, and you can get lost in conversation with the two of them for hours.

Jaipur Friendly Villa's- is the destination in Jaipur. When you leave- you know you'll be back.

Shevita and Kul- I hope you guys are doing great! If you ever come through Atlanta- let me know.

We had an amazing 5 days in Jaipur, much of it thanks to Shveta and Kul from Jaipur Friendly Villa. They recommended places to visit, the best places for shopping and also helped us communicate with our taxi driver who didn't speak any English. Through good conversations we got an enhanced understanding of the Indian culture as well as an introduction to Bollywood movies (thank you Kul). On top of that the B&B is super clean, the rooms are spacious and the food delicious. I would definitely stay here again should I ever find myself back in Jaipur!

This place is incredible. The facilities are stunning - spacious rooms, luxurious bathroom, balconies - our room even had a kitchenette! Immediately after seeing our room we decided to extend our stay for a total of 3 nights so that we could relax and recharge before continuing our India adventure. The hosts Shveta and her husband are wonderful. We enjoyed many conversations over cups of chai and meals. They directed us to relevant tourist sites, arranged transport when necessary, and assisted me in finding a saree for the wedding we attended later in our trip. I would recommend anyone visiting Jaipur to spend a few nights in this gorgeous home.

Room Tip: They have many options - our room had a kitchenette and balcony overlooking a park. Another room has...

The hostess Shveta has created a home-away-from-home: her homestay is warm, hospitable, clean and calm. I'd recommend it to anyone. It's a bit of a drive from the heart of the city but well worth it. In the short time I was there (2 nights), I enjoyed relaxing in my room (excellent Internet), sharing meals and lovely conversations with Sheveta, her husband Kulbhushan, and other guests.
