we visited this restaurant at lower parel with friends for dinner. having been at gajalee, vile parle long back,we were looking forward to having great food but was terribly disappointed by the quality of food. we ordered some fish fries like Bombay duck and surmai, i just couldn't believe my eyes, the fish fries were totally deep fried with layers of rawa and besan and less of the fish. The solkadi was absolutely deep free zed and didn't come closer to anything like it should have been,we asked them to take it back. By this time,i had already lost my appetite. For the main course,we ordered shrimp masala, prawn masala, pomfret curry, mutton biryani. The only saving grace here was the prawn masala. everything else i would rate below average with no trace of salt, spice just bland food. looks like they have converted their cuisine into a more westernized version to suit the foreign clientele.
The dinner really left a very very bitter taste(pun intended) in the mouth. The ambiance was good, but what is ambiance without good tasting food?
No,i am NOT going to recommend it all....
