“oops !!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 12, 2013

Recently visited this famous place with family. The place was very dirty. Service quality .. very pathetic. The ambiance was poor and it very suffocating. We had veg briyani and some veg kebabs. The quality of food was good but not great. Last but not the least.. please do not expect any hygiene !! else you will be dis appointed.

“Brilliant non-veg in a shady by-lane”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 11, 2013

If u like non-veg food you have to go sometime to this place in your eating life !!! the kebabs, bheja fry and mutton rolls are worth killing for ... go there everytime i'm in mumbai - yes the place is crowded and yes the stewards wont serve u instantly (unless u're salman or jackie both of whom i've seen there) and yes the hygiene is questionable but the taste is simply lip-smacking - so TOTALLY WORTH the travel time ...

“Overrated and overpriced...”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 9, 2013

'Very famous and must visit foodie joint' - with this impression most of us are goaded into a dirty back lane of Colaba. A street-side eatery with open kitchen, sweaty arms in dirty vests visibly struggling over open spitfire, shelving out naans, kulchas, tossing roomali rotis, kebabs and all...
Waiters skitting around to serve people sitting back in their luxury cars, a few dirty tables and plastic chairs strewn around for the lucky few who manage to get a table, otherwise be prpared to have your food standing.
Food - Seekh Kebabs and Roomali Roti rules!!! All different gravy/curry dishes taste the same (probably the same gravy base is used for all of them). Nothing exceptional about the breads too...
About 20 odd years ago, Bade Miyaan was a fascination to us (young students on a tight budget), but I don't think even the affluent students can have a fill at the modern Bade Miyaan!
