“An Oasis in a chaotic city”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 27, 2013

Mumbai is vibrant and exciting, but can also be noisy, dirty and overwhelming. I loved this hotel because it is like a quiet oasis away from the madness. You could see major business deals going down daily. A great business hotel.

The pool and spa are wonderful too. Best shower and betting I have had in all of India. Great food, excellent service. Four Seasons really knows how to treat their guests. And the rooftop bar, Aer, is amazing. Sunset drinks don't get any better in this city.

Nieghborhood location so-so. I like walking in cities I visit. This neighborhood just ok. I prefer Colaba or Juhu.

Room Tip: Higher floors are further away from street noise.

We booked online while we were in India. This was straighforward enough except the booking printout gave the address as 'Central Mumbai' which is an actual district of the city. The hotel is in 'Worli'. This confusion gave our taxi driver a real headache (especially when he tried to phone the booking reference number) but it gave us a very interesting(!) tour of the city which we wouldn't otherwise have had. Our driver was further perturbed by the stringent security at the entrance to the hotel and remonstrated frantically with the guards as they searched his car. We had already noticed, and were grateful for, the strict security measures taken by Mumbai hotels. Our taxi driver was less keen.
We had just spent three weeks in a rural town staying in very simple accommodation, having a marvellous time, but longing for a bit of luxury before our flight home and we certainly got that at the Four Seasons. The bed! The shower! Bliss! The facilites are excellent and the breakfast heart-stoppingly delicious.
The main reason we chose this hotel was that their greeting staff at the airport were really kind and helpful to us when we first arrived in India - even though it transpired we weren't guests of theirs. Indeed, all the staff at the hotel were wonderful, charming, polite, friendly, obliging, absolutely faultless!
For us, it felt a bit decadent staying in a luxurious hotel overlooking the tin roofs of the slums below but it soon became apparent that this is a place for doing business. We realised that we were seeing another side of India from the one we had just experienced and, literally, enjoyed eavesdropping as deals were done - always hoping money made here will eventually trickle down to the people on the other side of the road.
I agree with another reviewer - bills here are subject to local tax plus VAT plus a service charge which bumps up your spending quite considerably. The service charge is particularly annoying if you like to tip staff personally.
As a business hotel this must be a great place to work but for us it was a one off enjoyable and interesting experience which I don't think we'll repeat. We'll leave it to the business folk.

We made reservations for our business associates at the Four Seasons hotel last month and practically lived there ourselves since we used the Business centre for our meetings, the Restaurant for lunches and coffee breaks etc.

I loved the look of the hotel although it is slightly cramped as they'v had to cur corners while building it I assume.

The rooms on the higher floors are better as you avoid looking at the slums in direct view.

SanQi is quite a good experience in itself. Cafe Prato also has a good selection.

The staff is warm and friendly.

Definitely a must visit with business partners.

Room Tip: The rooms on the higher floors are better as you avoid looking at the slums in direct view.

This is the best business hotel in Mumbai. Great rooms, lots of space and a good desk to work on, efficient business centre if you need help. Gym is good. The food is great in both the restaurants and AER Bar the nicest bar in Mumbai provided it is not raining. Above all the staff could not be more helpful and nice. A particular mention to Francis at AER who is very helpful and always finds us a good seat. We had a great driver called Muthu on our last visit, very helpful and quick (no mean feat in Mmbai) and the concierge Valencia should win prizes for her proactive approach, ability to so anything out (dinner at any restaurant to sari's for my wife) and her unfailing friendliness. All together a great Mumbai business hotel very well located for downtown or BKC. if you are a tourist it is not so well located as most of the tourist sights are downtown.

We stayed in the four seasons during the holiday times and could not believe how beautiul and luxurious it was! While we were there we ate in the restaurant, enjoyed a massage and room service. The only negative thing I have to say is that there are extra chargers that add up in your final bill.and I am not referring the restaurant or spa charges- various taxes, etc that made a difference in our bill.

A beautiful hotel which is extremely well finished with every amenity you could wish for and a team of staff who provided superb customer service with a smile. If you're looking for an authentic Mumbai hotel I would not recommend the Four Seasons. But if you're looking for a calm, clean cocoon of luxury surrounded by the wonderfully vibrant, crazy city of Mumbai then look no further. It also has stunning views of the myriad of Mumbai.

Room Tip: I stayed in the Executive Suite, which was astonishing. Enough room for a family, sadly I was on my...

This is a five star hotel. My room was very elegant and the bathroom is huge. Everything is first class.
The Thai Restaurant has excellent food, good choices and exquisite taste.
The pool bar is beatiful. You have to stop by for a drink.
Personnel is very friendly.
