“Truely a Silent Zone in the Busy Mumbai”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 9, 2013

Peaceful and natural ambiance. Located in a silent zone near the sea. Rooms facing the sea gives you a relaxed environment after the stressful day. The journey to the location may not be that good but the stay will be enjoyable. Be ready to smell fishy some time!!!

Room Tip: Select the sea facing rooms

Apropos some comments made by certain travellers about this very beautiful hotel is so prejudiced and acerbic that one is left aghast to say the least. I, for one, can vouch that we had the most memorable vacation in the longest time.
Well, it all started when we were scouting for a quick getaway hotel within city limits, that we were recommended this property by a dear friend. We had booked 5 pool facing rooms from 15th till 19th March comprising my own family, friends and cousins from overseas. We checked-in not knowing what to expect but during our stay we were blown away by the warm and impecabble hospitality we received and let me share with all that this vacation was worth every cent we spent and more.
The staff were courteous, helpful at all times and eager to make us feel at home. The food was delectable and we relished every morsel of it.
One distinct experience was forever tattooed in my mind was when my 5 year son took ill all of a sudden in middle of the night which got us all panicked. As expected, I called the duty manager to explain the situation. He most politely informed that the doctor would be summoned at the soonest and assuaged my tense nerves. And there I was wondering which good soul would come at this very unearthly hour when the doctor breezed in no later than 10 minutes escorted by the manager. The doctor immediately set upon his diagnosis and a while later told us all is OK and that he would be fine by morning...much to our relief. When morning came, the VP of the hotel paid a visit to our room to ask after my son with a box of chocolates and cookies. We were so very deeply touched by this simple yet humane gesture.
This only went to make our stay all the more memorable and we look forward to coming back again at the next available oppurtunity.
And to all the Doubting Thomas...I say, go figure!

I visited the hotel on Saturday for 2 nights (sat & sun), hotel is located within the Mumbai city away from hustle bustle daily routine. Found this location awesome and better then visiting nearby resort locations.

Pool is fanatic had a great time in pool playing water polo and enjoy mocktails and cocktails at its Sunken Bar sitting on the stool immersed in the water. There was also great music played by DJ. Loved the Chinese food in specialty restaurants. Had a wonderful time hotel one should visit for weekend for relaxations.

We went on a family outing to the beach and wanted a room to stay; booked the hotel for day use, two interconnected rooms.

Plus points:
1) Very close to Mumbai, we got there in 1 hour from Sion
2) Well maintained lobby, dining areas and grounds
3) Decent rooms, nothing great but nothing broken either
4) Very friendly lobby staff
5) Room service was quick and painless

Minuses:
1) Can't step out of air-conditioned areas because of drying fish smell. It's awful. Makes the pool area and the beach inaccessible, thus defeating the whole purpose of going there.
2) Staff just hangs around doing god knows what. Service standard feels like a sleepy 3-star in Goa.
3) Very average quality food
4) Pool area is decent but too many fishing birds around and some dropped dead fish into the water as well. Ugh.

If this hotel doesn't do something in partnership with the fishermen to figure out how to manage the fish-drying, they might as well shut shop and go home. This sort of thing doesn't have any short term solution.

We had a pleasant time because we were a big family group and we had our own enterainment, and we spent our time indoors very happily. Once we were in the pool, the fish smell was less. But overall, I would not go here again.

It's a good location for a quick getaway from Mumbai and once in it you hardly feel like you are in Mumbai. The property has beautifully maintained lawns. The rooms, on the other hand, are huge but need serious airing. As there are no windows that open, there was always a musty feeling to the room. We were there for a large conference (almost 50 people) and were lucky to get a sea view room. The room had a decent sized bathroom with a tub. And a separated area for wardrobes and mini fridge etc. The room was large enough to even put an extra bed and still have space to move around!
The best part of the hotel is the pool and the surrounding green area. Very well appointed area and we spent most of our time working around this. The only negative, and it can be a big one in the evenings, is the awful smell from the fishing village just on the edge of the hotel grounds.
We tried going for a walk on the beach but regretted it the moment we stepped out of the hotel as the smell was just too much. Too bad because the hotel has great access to the beach and this could have been a big plus.
Overall, the experience was good as the staff is nice and helpful. If they can solve the problems with telecom and internet networks and the fish smell, this can be a great property for short holidays and office getaways.

Room Tip: Try and get sea view rooms.

A very average hotel, away from everywhere. Will go there only if I must. Recently attended a convention there and was waiting for it to get over. No Beauty parlour, very average rooms, No shopping, an apology of a shop exsists. And the stink which comes atleast twice a day is extremely overpowering and nauseating. Rooms do face the sea but the sea cant be seen due to the trees. No fresh air in the room at all. Limited access to the sea shore.

Room Tip: Try the one's in the center of the hotel, you could get a sea view.

This property is on one quiet corner of Mumbai. You do not stay at this kind of place while on family holiday as has limited communication around. We stayed here for 3 nights for company conference and the facilities matched our need.

Rooms are big. Room service & food quality is decent. The morning breakfast spread & buffet meals were good. Overall satisfactory experience.

Highly recommended for corporate meetings but wont recommend if you have to pay from your pocket to stay at this place as at this tariffs you can get many better properties at better location in Mumbai.

Room Tip: Take pool facing rooms only.
