3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 9, 2013

The hotel is situated in Bandra West, so location is good. But services provided are not good. Complimentary drop facility was refused even though it is expected by them. Nice open air dining on third floor. But quality of food not good as compared to their prices. Being in hospitality sector, much more is expected from them. Especially when the guests are willing to pay for them.

Room Tip: Rooms are nice anyhow.

We had the opportunity to stay with family last week at the Hotel. Reception was warm with efficient service. Staff did every thing to keep our stay comfortable.
In middle of Mumbai a quiet and nice place to stay.

Had been to this hotel to visit one of our guests. From outside the hotel building looks good but from inside it's old. Right from elevator, rooms, passages, furnitures everything's seems old. Our guests were also unhappy with the service. One side you have nice view but other side is full of slums. Their are children playing from nearby slums around hotel and will demand you money every time you pass from there.
This should be your last option in bandra area.

The hotel is located in the bandra reclamation area. Approach road is through bad area if you are coming from bandra and through good area if coming from worli.
We stayed there bcoz we had no option of other hotels in the range upto Rs 8000. Got rates of 4500 + taxes. FOOD IS TERRIBLE. And the beauty is they will take ages to serve it. Best option is to go nearby hotel for good food. We had at shivsagar. You can visit Bunglow 9 if you wish to have all the varieties of food in the world, EXCEPT FOR INDIAN FOOD. ( Rooms are mediocre to say the least. This hotel is recommended only for business trips or if the person after roaming around in mumbai wants to have sleep in a silent area. The rating of good has been given only for the excellent bandra worli sea link view which you get from the room. Enjoy a beer watching it.

Room Tip: Take rooms ending with even nos for view of sea link

The hotel brings very strong recollection of collonial era. Be it the reception, the elevators (which take a long while to open), the room decor (they still use the old colour television) and everything. It was also very important to mention that some where all this make this hotel special. I have stayed in many hotels in mumbai but the room size (including the bed size) is the biggest in this hotel. if this hotel were to be reconstructed then i am sure they would be able to construct atleast 30% more rooms and this can be an indication of the room size.
The only thing which the management should focus attention on is to add variety in case of buffet breakfast and make the service a little more faster...
The hotel has the best location in mumbai and one can take a small stroll around the hotel. Mt. Mary Church is in vicinity and is must visit.

Room Tip: Choose rooms facing the sea side..

Rang Sharda can easily be called old fashioned hotel that needs a facelift and upgradation in facilities. The rooms are carpeted but as a guest I always felt poor housekeeping. The stay was comfortable but the ambience was old and given a choice I would have opted out than to stay there. I guess the management must be considering an upgrade because it has all the infrastructure that a hotel needs. It has good parking place, grand entrace, spacious lobby, big rooms, foray as you step out of your room and an elaborate reception. The food also seemed old fashioned. So the over all experience was nothing great but for someone who remains on the move, if it is a matter of just one night stay, one can bear it and move on.

Angela: The hotel is very close to Lilavati Hospital. The location of the hotel is very convenient & is free from the hustle of the city. It is the perfect place to rest after the day long office work. The rooms have beautiful views of the new Mumbai landmark- the "Worli Sealink", and would prefer it for all my future visits.. It is also the perfect place for the family.

The food of the hotel is awesome!!!! The best thing that I had discovered is that it has large conference hall.

I would recommend my friends & family to be here atleast once during their visit to Mumbai.
