“Very Nice location - Old Heritage”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 13, 2013

It is very nice hotel located on Marine Drive. and when you enter in the hotel you feel that you are back in 1970's. Same Chips flooring and furniture, Godrej Almirah in the room. Overall you feel very peaceful atmosphere there. Sometimes it is also a good experience to leave luxury hotel aside and enjoy your heritage. There is intercom in the room but if you need room service you have to ring the bell . It is just opposite to sea beach and you can enjoy the sea view from the balcony. There is no restaurant in the hotel and served only continental breakfast. It is good for short trip.

Room Tip: Ask for Sea Facing room.

Its a nice hotel neat and clean. No room service. But you can order for food from outside and have it in the room. Rooms are spacious.Staff are over friendly for tips. The hotel is easy to locate. Our taxi driver didn't had much trouble finding it. In the evening you can sit in the balcony and enjoy marine drive. But not all the rooms are facing sea side so ask for sea facing room. Rooms are not sound proof.

Overall pleasant stay. I will say due to sea green I enjoyed the beauty of marine drive as I cant
afford 5 star. Really worth staying...

Sea Green Hotel is one of the old buildings that are so integral part of South Mumbai. The hotel has spacious rooms that remind you of old times and if you are lucky and get a sea facing room, you might as well enjoy the light breeze that comes from the sea. At night, you can view the majestic 'The Queen's Necklace' from the balcony and in the morning you can go for a jog on the Marine Drive. If you are a lazy bum, you can simply look over to the sea in the morning and enjoy the light mist if nature favors you. Eating joints close to the hotel are Pizzeria, a famous and old Parsi shop for icecream, Baskin and Robbins etc or you can get order food and the hotel staff will bring it for you.

Room Tip: Rooms overlooking the sea are the best.

We arrived here and were immediately wowed by the location. It is literally overlooking the beach, about 5 doors down from the Inter-Continental hotel on Marina drive.
We had a side room, that had a small balcony overlooking the sea. The room was clean, had a fridge, TV and a good hot shower. It is not fancy in any way but very functional.
The people on reception and porters were extremely helpful and made restaurant recommendations and helped in any way they could, they were friendly and courteous.
If you are looking for a good value option in a fantastic location, and don't need the extra frills then this is the hotel for you!

Room Tip: Ask for a front or side room overlooking the sea. We were on the 5th floor and had good views.

This is a reasonably priced pad for sleeping only purposes if you want to stay in this part of Mumbai. It's location is superb and even better if you get a Marine Drive sea-facing room (Rm402). I found it clean, roomy and perfectly acceptable for basic needs. Take your own shampoo, etc. The staff were also cheerful and respectful. Having stayed in other basic hotels in the Colaba area, I would say this was the best in terms of location, cost and staff. Do note that the a/c can be noisy and if like me you preferred to enjoy the normal temperature (especially after enduring our UK cold spell), it can be noisy as it is along Marine Drive after all. I did not mind as I just wanted a bed for the night: after a night on the town, I slept like a baby!

While every hotel in Mumbai charges a rate of a day and a half, this hotel wanted a rate of two night if I want to check out in the evening. They ask you to pay in advance not on the check out. The rooms and bathroom look like a cheap hostel. There is no breakfast included, but just tea or coffee. Some of the staff helps you around, but the one who did the booking, tried to charge me for a bigger amount on my credit card, Beware!

This is a basic hotel, with a somewhat aging fabric, and facilities, however the staff were very welcoming and helpful. It offers rooms on a bed only basis, but toast and tea can be requested, and it is very close to some very good food shops, including an Italian style restaurant next door, and the Shiv Sagar and Gaylords bar and restaurants in easy walking distance on the way to Churchgate.
It is located in a superb position on Marine Drine, with rooms overlooking the Sea, and close to the Wankede and Brabourne Cricket Stadiums. The Maidans, Churchgate Flora roundabout, shopping Streets, and the Gateway to India are all closeoat hand.
I recommend it as a base to explore this part of Mumbai, if you can manage without the luxury end hotel experiences and amenities

Room Tip: Request a room overlooking the sea if possible
