“fabulous hotel and fabulous service!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

Stayed here for Xmas week and despite the hotel being so busy with many parties and functions, the staff attended to us very well. Check in was smooth, anything else we needed was sent to us promptly. Breakfast was a winner although it does get full quite quickly but there are enough rooms to accommodate the guests. Its a sanctuary to escape from the traffic and hoards of people in Mumbai. The shopping mall in the hotel is lovely...lots of shops but selling the same thing. Its nice to be able to shop peacefully which is not something thats easy to do in India, if you compare it to markets and causeways. The pool area is awesome! Definitely worth every penny!

During December 2014, my wife and I stayed at this hotel in two stints, one a 5 night stay and the other a 4 night stay. We stayed in an executive suite which had access to the Club Lounge. The suite’s bedroom had a fabulous view of Marine Drive and the Arabian Sea.

Check-in was smooth .Housekeeping services were terrific with prompt and efficient room make-up and evening turn down. We left some bags at the bell desk as we traversed through India and baggage storage and subsequent delivery was seamless. The butler did a terrific shoe-shine with a quick turnaround.

I used the health club several days during my stay. The cardio equipment was plentiful and there were several weight machines such that I was comfortably able to complete my daily exercise routine. The barber shop was terrific and I would highly recommend their head massages which are extremely relaxing. My wife loved her head massages, pedicure and manicure at the salon.

Frangipani, the all day restaurant, provided an excellent lunch buffet with a wide variety of western choices along with an extensive selection of Indian dishes.

In the past the real highlight of my previous stays has been the service at the Club Lounge. During this stay, the lounge seemed to be generally staffed by new apprentices who, while well-intentioned, were lacking in experience. The one exception was a server named Jackson who provided exemplary service and had a terrific attitude. The facilities of the Club lounge are meant to provide an elevated service level and experience. I recommend that management take a look at how the club lounge is being managed in terms of the food, drinks and service, such that it provides the superlative service level and experience that I myself have experienced during my previous stays at the hotel.

Given the sensory overload that one encounters when trying to traverse through the chaos of today’s Mumbai, we found ourselves returning back to the Trident, Nariman Point, time and again, to soothe our jarred senses and to try and achieve some semblance of normalcy.

It was our error - we booked a nonrefundable room at the Trident in the financial district for an extra night - but showed up at Nariman Point because we thought that's where we were staying. The hotel staff just simply made the adjustment so we could stay at Nariman Point and we upgraded to the Concierge Floor with a lovely ocean view. Room was clean, comfortable and had excellent wifi. Surprisingly, the pool water was cold (74) and so didn't go in. Excellent breakfast downstairs - pretty much anything you could think of- and cocktails upstairs were totally fine. Staff very friendly and helpful. We also enjoyed our walk along the sea in the evening because of the hotel's fine location. Highly recommend.

Stayed here a couple of times in the last 2 months. Superb hotel, the sea facing rooms are mind blowing. Staff is very friendly and caring. Sulabh at the reception is the perfect host and will always go out of his way. Clean big rooms. Should the television should be bigger and new.

This hotel is big and busy. at any one time in the reception lobby/lounge area there are masses of people milling around and suitcases all over the place. This is one of those rare instances where the room was sanctuary from the lobby not the hurly burly of the streets outside. So don't expect to stand and stare because you will be in the way. Everything from breakfast to lunch at the lobby level is processed efficiently and I have to say that this one of the better places we stayed for service. But it is what it is. The room was standard comfort not endearing or interesting just a place to sleep.

This place is fairly handily situated there is a street of restaurants/bars just about 10-15minutes walk away. a pleasant walk along the front. That's it really.

Had two rooms booked here travelled with friends their first visit they were so happy with the standard of location & hotel ,I have stayed here twice before and I always enjoy the location , & the breakfast is really good with various options to choose from and the staff always willing to serve & help, very friendly & courteous , one person really stood out for me and that was Rocky in charge of Concierge , reconfirmed all my travel arrangements & was so helpful when requested if the shops were open on Sunday , called the said shops to confirm . WELL DONE ROCKY .

Room Tip: Choose a Sea facing room it has awesome views

Very good room, beautifully furnished, well secluded from the city hustle and bustle… ask for a sea view room.
Very good breakfast, and good service.

Room had a bit of a moldy smell.

hotel resturant was very expensive, though comming in late it was a good solution for the first evening in india.

Room Tip: sea front is better than city view. ask for high floor.
