“nice colonial building”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 22, 2014

The high court is another beautiful example of colonial architecture located in the south of the city.
Certainly this is not one of the top attractions of Mumbai, in fact for tourists there are many strict rules in force in particular as regards the use of cameras and camcorders.
In any case I think it is not worth entering, much better to admire it from the outside.

“High Heritage”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 22, 2013

This is an 1862 structure.. gorgeous gothic style of architecture. The building looks just like any other stone structure built by the Britishers. However every pillar is distinct with different animal sculpture and in court No 46, the face of Lokmanya Tilak is carved in stone.. All the 3 structures are connected internally (almost harry potter-ish). For security reasons, no cameras are allowed. its hustling with lawyers parading in their robes and bank and judge who look distinguished and nothing like the Bollywood movie depictions. The Air conditioned courts with mike system make it convenient to hear what is going on in the Courts.. oh yeah its open to public for viewing ..:)

“Beautiful example of colonial architecture”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 25, 2013

There is nothing new I can say about this building. Just take into account that it is not a tourist attraction, but an importanmt building for Indian Justice.

A beautiful Gothic example of Colonial architecture, reminiscent of the British rule.Well maintained by Indian standards( pay attention to the towers with allegorical figures of Justice and Mercy). The area it is strictly secured by the police.

Photography is not allowed, not even from the outside.

Didn’t go in. I wish I had.
