“Place with Peace & Beauty”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 16, 2013

I often visit Manas Mandir in Shahpur, which is 60 Kms driving distance Thane. It is located in Mumbai Nasik Highway and is approx 20 KM from Express Highway toll plaza. Location is very pleasant and Statue of Jain God Adinath Bhagwan is very beautyfull. Visiting this place give me peace of mind. If you are from Jain comminity then Stay arrangement is available at very nominal rates. Also one can enjoy the Pure Jain food here (No Onion/Garlic/roots)

“Jain Temple - Ornate”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 26, 2013

This Jain Temple is very ornate and there is a board listing the "Do's and Don't" for Visitors.

It's very ornate with large elephant carvings. Photos are allowed of the exterior only and one must remove shoes before looking inside.

The Jain people do not eat onions or garlic so special food is normally prepared for them when visiting large hotels such as Holiday Inn, Goa.

Respect their right to prayers and peace.

“Oasis of calm”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 23, 2013 via mobile

Very interesting, welcoming temple. Non-Jains cannot go into the temple interior, but take your shoes off (leave a small tip when you retrieve them) and walk around, go upstairs, and take pictures. Lovely place.

“For Architecture, Spirituality and History Lovers”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 25, 2013

Full of color, I would have loved to have been admitted inside the temple but you are not allowed entry if you are not a Jain believer.

There is a list of rules to be observed as soon as you enter the temple but nothing more than you would expect as a courtesy to this religious place.

Photos allowed on the outer premises,

“Historical Temple Jain Temple”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 23, 2013

The Jain temple near Malabar hill in Mumbai is located at Walkeshwar at ridge road near the famous Hanging garden. It is one of the notable old Jain temples in Mumbai. This temple is a perfect example of the artistic brilliance of that time.
It is nice temple.
