I travel from the US to Bombay for business every two months for a one to two week stay every time. I work mainly in the Bandra/Juhu/Khar area and have tried four hotels in the area (Orchid included). My budget is limited as I work for a non-profit organization. This hotel is by far the best price/quality. Service is on average very good; the food is very decent (I eat mostly Indian food so I can't judge their western food) ; room service is very good; the rooms are spacious and clean; same for the bathrooms. I have stayed here four times over the last year and have liked it every time. Internet connection - wireless - is excellent but expensive (500 IR per day). They have small business rooms for meetings which are also good. I tried their healthclub once but was frustrated that after 6pm the Sauna etc are for men only (during the day it is open to women only). As a working woman I was a bit offended when told I should just come during the day! The price of the hotel went up recently which makes it harder to justify my two week stay there.

Small hotel that would be motel in the US. Shabby corridors, restaurant and rooms. View of piles construction material outside window. You can also peep into the bedroom of apartments right next to hotel. Lousy service and lousy food. We were paying nearly $200 a night and had to pay over and above this for an internet connection.

We stayed here for 1 night in January at the start of our holiday as it is convenient for both the International and Domestic Airports and they offer free airport transfers.
Check in was efficient, the room was large, freshly decorated and comfortable. We had dinner, breakfast and lunch in the hotel and the food was good.

My husband and I stayed at the Juhu Beach Ramada for one night shortly after Christmas. After a long drive from Pune, we were very tired and were just looking for a clean room. We expected that a 4 star hotel that cost $230 a night would be clean. We couldn't have been more wrong. When we arrived in our room after a very bad experience at the front desk (where the manager rudely asked for my visa and my husband's greencard, which they have no business seeing!!), we were greeted by a very dingy room with a mildewy smell and blood-stained sheets. Because we were exhausted after trying to navigate Bombay to find a hotel, we decided not to complain. We went down to the restaurant and had a mediocre dinner. We then returned to the room and slept in our clothes on top of the blanket to avoid touching the blood stains. In the morning, neither of us had the courage to take a shower in the disgustingly dirty bathroom. We checked out at 6AM and took the hotel's complimentary car to the airport. The car had a very terrible smell inside. I had to hold my breath the whole time and my husband had to stick his head out the window. I would have expected a much nicer hotel for the price. After this trip to India, my husband and I have learned that the 4 and 5 star hotels in India are not clean and the staff have a terrible attitude, almost as if they think they are better than the customers! We stayed in some midrange hotels and had a much better experience. Do not, under any circumstances, stay at this hotel. It was really a horrible!
