“Good Hotel right outside the International Airport”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 27, 2012

It has been a long time since i last stay in this Hyatt Regency, Mumbai. Since it is just a short stay, we did not move around that much in the hotel. Front desk staffs are excellent, efficient and helpful. Truly 5 Stars standard, and also for their room and house keeping.

Cafe food is good but services has room to improved. We went down for breakfast, quickly got our table. After pick up the food from the buffet counter, when we come back just with the folk and spoons but napkin, side plate and butter spread are missing. After chasing them for a two times and we got it finally. However one of the plate seems to be used as i saw some bread on it. I saw them was picking up the plate from one table and bring it to the other. Although it may not be used but why not put away the extra utensils when they seat the customer? I was asking one of the staffs why they put up the utensil separately. The answer was they are too busy? Shouldn't all the utensils, plate and napkin should be from the same place? Or this hotel simply used out all the utensils during one breakfast and do not have enough turn around time for replenishment? Cafe quality is always an issue particular in India, at least based on my experience. However using busy as an excuse for this kind of situation is just not acceptable.

Back to the bottom line, good location if you just have a short visit and rushing back to the airport, it is just at the door step of the International Airport. There are also many other hotels choices also. It is also means that you can always go to other hotel near by for food. ITC and Hilton next door should have also decent food choices. I particularly like the food outlets standard in ITC whenever come to India.

Room Tip: Hotel come in kind of L Shape, try not to get the room at the turning corner as your room will have...

Upmarket, very close to the International airport and not too far from the domestic terminal. All the things you expect from an upclass hotel. Pity though that you need to pay for internet even when staying in the nmore expensive club rooms. Food to suit all tastes Excellent staff, many remember your name or find out your name

Room Tip: Away from the road, it is very noist there with traffic and construction. Get a room with a pool vie...

Nice modern hotel where the staff works hard in helping you having a restful and relaxed time while you are there. You really feel welcome from the moment they pick you up at the airport (free shuttle). I spent a week there and it was really nice to get to this place every evening after a full day work in the busy and always crowded Mumbai. Very kind staff whose objective is making you feel as an special guest. I got a inner garden/pool view room which was ideal considering how noisy are the streets in this city, besides the amount of road work going on outside. Room wads comfortable, always clean and with all the required amenities. Good breakfast buffet, although the same offering everyday. They also allowed me to do a late check out (8:00 PM) considering my trip back was at 11:00 PM, which was highly appreciated.

Room Tip: Interior rooms are ideal.

When I arrived at the hotel, a young lady was waiting for me in the lobby, she showed me to my room, asked me to sign a form and she disappeared.
Good to see that the hotel is leveraging the database of its clients.

I was quite looking forward to staying here but there were several disappointments,

-No free hotel shuttle to/from airport even though only 5 mins away
-breakfast buffet disappointing and rushed.10 mins after arriving at 0940 told it was closing.
-internet very expensive by today standards when most hotels are FOC
-Absolutely no shops or other restaurant options etc nearby
Positives
-Health club was excellent and rooms are comfortable

Would look for another option next time nearer to other facilities such as Westin

We always stay here en route in and out of Goa because the international flight times are so horrendous and we don't want to hang around Bombay airport for hours with a small child. It's a good pit stop and we have used it this way about 5 times over the years.
The hotel is well located 5 mins away from the international terminal and 15 mins away from the domestic terminal.
The rooms are clean with a good range of toiletries and the bed is comfortable.
Food is good and reasonably priced for a luxury hotel in India. The breakfast buffet is varied with a wide selection of Indian and Western foods and we have also found the room service to be of a good quality and prompt.
Our only moan is that the check in process is not as speedy as we would like, but this is because we are always in a rush to get to bed due to the unsociability of the hour, the staff are probably just being over courteous!
Will return as it works for us.

We usually always stay here with the family before leaving India. It is only 5 minutes away from the airport which is very convenient, especially cosidering Mumbai traffic.
The hotel is nice and clean and live up to the Hyatt standard. Service might be a little slow and in case you have special requests like an extra bed prepare that it won't be there when you check in. Staff is friendly and helpful and normally sort things out after some time. It is however not fun when you arrive in the middle of the night with tired kids and all you want to do is to go to bed and you end up waiting 30 minutes for an extra bed.
On this stay I had confirmed with the hotel that the bed would be in the room upon arrival but once again it wasn't. After a quick discussion with the reception they upgraded us to a deluxe room and the bed was in place within 5 minutes.
We stay in the club rooms which gives you free breakfast and airport transfers. They also have a nice lounge with very friendly staff where they serve you cocktails and finger foods in the evening. The breakfast in the lounge is not as good as the one in the restaurant so if you don't mind a noisy restaurant in the morning that is to be preferred.
All in all a great hotel if you are traveling in our out of Mumbai. Wish the airport was anywhere near as nice...
