“SUPERB !!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 1, 2012

This hotel is absolutely superb , there is no other words to describe it. This is the perfect place to stay in Mumbai!

Pros of hotel:
1. Location - Its located on Marine Drive , this is where Mumbai can be best experienced as this is the heartbeat of Mumbai as it has bustling nightlife, array of eating places as well as the lovely breeze coming from the shoreline. The top floor of the hotel offers stunning views of the marine drive , the top floor is also frequently visited by many Bollywood actors/actresses , so you got a good chancing of meeting one when you stay there!
2. The rooms are absolutely amazing , the best that I have ever stayed in , it is extremely modern and spacious with an array of facilities that will insure optimum comfort. The entertainment system employed in the rooms is also great ; satellite television offering a huge selection of channels as well as a BOSE music system that puts you into the greatest of moods ! :) . The bathroom is also huge! , a seperate shower and bathtub aswell as a secluded toilet ensures that one cam pamper ones self in 5 star luxury.
3. The service by staff is also very good , we were provided a welcoming drink which was great and we were offered a free in room massage session

Con's of resort:
1. Breakfast does not offer a huge variety ; you are limited to a rather small variety and the food is a bit bland . The fruit though was really tasty.
2. The hotel is very costly.

Overall I would say that this is "THE PLACE TO STAY" when visiting Mumbai , it was a lovely experience.

Intercontinental Marine drive, Mumbai is now the only Intercontinental Hotel in India. I did not stay there personally, but our business guests had stayed there, and they were quite satisfied with the service. The lounge ('Dome') is an open top sea facing rooftop lounge, offering a wide variety of exquisite wines and liquor. Breakfast is also good and the staff is prompt and welcoming.

Room Tip: Sea view or Bay view rooms

We enjoyed a large suite with wonderful views in this hotel. The room was spacious, clean and luxurious and the bathroom was huge! There was a great variety for breakfast, wonderful views in the breakfast room and the wait staff eager to meet our every need. Don't hesitate to stay here, especially if you can manage a suite!!

Room Tip: Try to get upgraded to a suite with a view!

I stayed between 25th and 27th July 2012. I found it to be extremely enjoyable. Courteous and well trained people to take good care of you. Quality of food was very good even though, bit more costly. Breakfast spread was remarkably good. Room was well appointed with required toiletries. Considering Mumbai weather, may be they can also provide talcum powder. Its a value for money place where you are well received and attended.

Room Tip: Sea facing rooms are very good. But from other rooms one can see the sea.

In one sentence - Cannot complain about anything. Excellent location, excellent staff, delicious restaurants and all with view that simply priceless. Specially in the night one can see the Queen's Necklace, the array of lights along the famous marine drive.

Room Tip: Book in advance for the sea facing rooms

The Hotel is 1 hour away by car from the international airport, it's located on the seaside, in fronto of the promenate. The city centre is really close, it's a boutique hotel. The lobby is elegant even if quite small and inside there are three restaurant: indian, thai and european cousine. People is very kind and available, rooms are nice, very clean and furnitures nice. Unfortunately I have to admit that the breakfast was not the standard huge Intercontinental breakfast even if the quality was quite good. The hotel has a good Gym and also a swimming pool and on the top floor a bar where you can enjoy the seaside view. Globally I would come back to this hotel and I can recommend it.

Our family had one junior suite and one regular room in Mumbai. This was our first time in Mumbai (with the exception of my husband) and we were a bit shell-shocked. Inside the hotel is a beautiful oasis; step outside and you have traffic, dirt, filth, beggars, animals, etc. The hotel staff was superb -- from the front desk, to the room cleaners, wait staff, and spa people. Security is great -- I felt very safe there. The views from our rooms were fabulous. The management and staff were extremely eager to please. It was a positive experience.
