“The climb is worth the effort.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 30, 2013

Babulnath Temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva. The temple is located at one end of Marine Drive, and is atop a small hill. One can take the 100 odd steps up to the temple, which is very refreshing( though one is at the door step of the people residing there) or take a lift.
For Hindus,a visit to this temple is considered a must as it is the biggest & oldest Shiv-Temple in Mumbai.

“Bam Bam Bhole”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 22, 2013

It was so peaceful..... For ppl who can't climb, there is a lift to take you to the temple for a nominal fee of INR 1 per person. The view from the top is awesome. Meeting the Simple Lord (Bholenath) and worshipping Him is so easy, no complex rituals, no flowers or fruits, or incense required. Just worship Him with Abhishek of Plain Water. Its just that simple. Har Har Mahadev....

“Babulnath Temple Dedicated To Lord Shiva.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 20, 2013

Babulnath Temple Is Truly Built In The Finest Traditions Of Temple Architecture . The Temple Built Atop A Hillock Is Reachable By Climbing About 165 Steps. This Steep Climb Can Now Be Avoided By Using An Elevator On Paying A Small Fee.I Personally Enjoy Climbing The Stairs But Unfortunately The Steps Are Not Maintained Well And One Has To Be Really Careful While Climbing.
The Temple Is Awe Inspiring And The Aura Strengthens Ones Faith In The Almighty.
Having Said That I Only Wish That The Temple Retains And Maintain The Surroundings Without Allowing Any Unwanted Constructions Or Encroachments So That This Beautiful Heritage Temple Inspires Future Generations.
I Make A Earnest Request To The Trustees Who Are Doing A Wonderful Job As Care Takers To Be More Vigilant In Preserving This Grand Temple And See That The Surroundings Are Well Kept And Cleanliness Of Highest Standards Maintained And The Lost Glory Is Restored.
I Give My Ratings On The Basis Of All Round Impressions Otherwise The Temple Deserves Five Stars.
