One who visits Hakassan, Waterfield Road, Bandra before he / she gets some rave reviews, is bound to enjoy the experience.. However, I had heard a lot about its decor, service, food and the prices! It is definitely a high-end fine-dining restaurant but not worth the price they charge. Else no complaints. I visited Hakkasan with a friend during 'Restaurant week' in Sep 2013 and had a pleasant time. The restaurant is not at the ground level and has an exclusive lift which is manned by a pleasant lift-man. Feels good that you are welcomed with a smile when you enter their domain. The 4-course set menu was interesting and preparations were very good as well. Considering that it was a Thursday evening and they were'nt too busy, the service was a little lacking in attention. The classy, well dressed crowd helps the ambience. For the 'Restaurant week' price of Rs 1200 it was worth every penny. I shall definitely visit them during the next Restaurant week but wont loosen my purse-strings otherwise.
