We decided to treat ourselves to a nice hotel on our last night in India, WOW. This place was absolutely beautiful, and the room (we got the reflection room) was one of the nicest i've ever slept in. The most comfortable bed in the world!!! We ordered room service which came quickly and was delicious, and the next day even though we checked out we spent the whole day in the cafe downstairs reading playing cards and eating their wonderful food. they even gave us free cake which was yummy!! Such friendly and helpful staff, such a lovely atmosphere, I would definitely stay here again when i come to mumbai.

There is no doubt that this is a lovely hotel. Located near the airport and a 20 minute drive from Juhu beach, it is convenient for transit or short trips. However, it is a long way from central Mumbai.

It is cheap, by Mumbai standards, and the rooms are large, with baths, showers, large LCD TVs, desks chairs and a comfortable bed. With the exception of a small bit of flaked paint on one wall and a cover which had a minuscule stain, the rooms are good. I almost could have believed I was in a business hotel.

However, the service, could only be described as Fawlty Towers on Bhang. Here is a list of the various problems:

1. I called the hotel, in the morning of my arrival, to advise that the flight was coming in at 5:00pm not 4:00pm. However no-one told the driver who waited for several hours (as my flight was additionally late);
2. When I arrived, the hotel couldn't work out if I had paid - even though I used their online system (they didn't recognise their own website system);
3. I ordered room service, however they stuffed it up and sent it to me bit by bit (every 5 minutes another bit arrived);
4. I used their car (on their advise) to see around Mumbai. However, the driver did not know his way around any part of the city, and wasted hours getting lost;
5. Every time I ordered black coffee I got white coffee (I eventually just found this amusing);
6. They have no business center (they just allow guests to use their office), their computers were alright except that you would have waiters and staff walking through the area every 30 second.

Ultimately, it is a nice hotel, done on the cheap. However, it does not deserve four stars and it is not really a business hotel as it lacks most of their facilities. That being said, it is cheap(ish), clean and ultimately close to the airports (if hours from south Mumbai).

Hotel is very beautiful, with brand new rooms with all amenities.
However, when I visited it had only just opened and had some minor difficulties due to inexperience I think.
Great value, and a sure winner if you want to get a luxury room without paying a fortune.

Close to the airports, but thereby also a bit away from the city center.

We had a nice stay at the hotel. Rooms where very clean. Hotel personal was very nice and helpful. To travel around hotel personal organized a "full-day" cap driver for a very affordable amount who drove us everywhere and waited for us.

Finding great quality affordable hotels in Mumbai is not an easy task. The Mirage Hotel is one of the few that meets those standards.

The design is contemporary but not over the top. The lobby provides ample seating for meeting and waiting.

The rooms are well designed, hardwood (vinyl) floors are light and make the room feel clean and bright. The beds are comfortable and the sheets are crisp and clean. Lots of pillows and good reading lights make it even better.

There is a desk for working and the internet connection fees are reasonable. There is also a chair and footstool for reading. The bathroom has both a soaker tub and a stand alone shower. Good towels, no robes. Shampoo, shower gel, foam bath and moisturizer but no conditioner. A pet peeve of mine. What woman washes her hair and then doesn't condition it.

The food is ok and the restaurant is smallish. I ordered pancakes from room service one day. They weren't pancakes but very dense heavy crepes like things and the promised berry compote and whipped cream were no where to be found.

Breakfast was included in the dining room and there was a wide range of Indian dishes, very few International ones. I would stick to toast and a hard boiled egg.

The staff are friendly but not nearly as professional as those working at the Taj or the Oberoi.

As a woman travelling alone for business it felt vey safe and I was always very comfortable.

It's very close to the airport and a shuttle service is available.

It's a great hotel for a great price.

  • Liked — feels highend for a great price
  • Disliked — the food
