“Great Seafood, decent ambience, a must try for non-vegetarians”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 13, 2013

The seafood there is of top quality, the dish can be customised to some extent to suit your taste.
The crab dishes here are excellent.

The staff is communicative.
this hotel suits all kinds of visits, friends, business, solo, family cuz all attention is on the food and the fun of eating it..!!!

For all non-vegetarians, sea-food lovers its a treat to eat here, a must try for people visiting india..!!

“Are you going for the first time?”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 6, 2013

Sea food is quality awesome and fresh! out here! But cost is bit on a higher side compared to other eateries selling sea food in the surrounding areas.

But apart from above if you are going for the first time to Gajale Andheri East, then please note following points:
- Their lunch hour ends 3:30 PM (and the manager will hurry you up for putting your order). Also as sea food like crab, quid takes time to prepare so reach early so to have enjoyable food time and exploring options
- The wash room is completely outside and at a distant place, so plan accordingly.
- Cuisines on crab, special fishes may not be available if you reach late

Have nice nice time. Bon Apetiti!

“Fantastic sea food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 28, 2013

Lovely fresh sea food both tandoori and in some wonderful curries. Tried the Rawas Tandoori, Bombil Fry and Prawn Curry - absolutely delightful. Even though it was raining heavily on the evening we went there, there were quite a few diners at the restaurant. Had a very satisfying meal and will make it a point to visit again during my next trip to Mumbai.

“First time at Gajalee”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 10, 2013

I have hear d so much about Gajalee that I had to try it. I went to this branch instead of Ville Parle. Unfortunately could not take pictures as I forgot my camera.. nevertheless. Ambience was ok. The food, I love sea food especially from the Konkan region.. Surmai curry was not up to the standard. Did not like it at all. I could get the taste of raw coconut gravy. The stuffed squids were ok. Mebbe it was because I was comparing it to the Goan stuff squids, which are out of this world. The crabs though were just wonderful. It was not very spicy but just perfect. Do try it. Service was reasonably ok. I tried their Amboli, which is like the Keralite appams, I am not sure if they are not supposed to be fluffy and light.. if yes, then I prefer the appams. The food was ok but not much to talk about.

“Amazing Seafood!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 9, 2013

The crab broth is divine. The grilled seafood is unbeatable in Mumbai! The other dishes are fine but to truly enjoy the seafood, ask for the fresh selection and have them cook it the way you like. Enjoy!
