“One of the better choices in Mysore”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 5, 2013

No frills and good value for money. If you want to have a decent hotel in the city center as your base to explore mysore, then this is a good option. The rooms and lobby could do with a facelift. Restaurant is quite good. You can use this hotel as a base, nothing more.

Surely there is a better hotel in Mysore! This is right by a busy road, making front facing rooms intolerable, and those at the back still noisy. The gym is a poky little room with 4 old machines two of which were'nt working. The rooms were clean and the shower hot, but the sheets were stained, though clean.

Room Tip: if you do stay here, go high at the back...

We stayed for two days. Very good hotel and good campus .
Food is also with different variety. Breakfast each day with different taste suitable to all the nationalities.
Lunch though it is little costly with wide range of dishes.
Cleaning and other services is also good . We spent more time in the campus and not in the room.
There is open swimming pool and have a charcoal restaurant which you sit chat a long time during night.
Hotel lobby is also looks very good appearance and the front office staff is doing their job very well.
We will opt this hotel only in future if we visit Mysore.

Room Tip: Choose a room viewing to the open air swimming pool,

We were in Mysore for my wedding. My family as well as my husbands family opted to all stay together at the Regaalis. This turned out to be a great choice as the hotel was very kind in offering an early check-in as we arrived on an early morning bus from Bangalore to beat the traffic. Additionally the hotel is located close to the main hub of mysore, with Mysore markets, the train station/bus stand within walking distance.

The highlight of our stay was the fabulous Christmas day lunch organised by the staff and kitchen in the outdoor garden area next to the pool. An extensive and delicious buffet was set out for all the guests with unlimited wine, beer and softdrinks served as part of a package which guests were required to pre pay or register at on the day. It felt like a lunch at home!

Only negatives were slow service at the breakfast buffet and slow in room dining service particularly when the hotel reached peak occupancy. Other than these issues the stay was very pleasant with the staff being very courteous and willing to attend to any problems or needs.

Will stay here again!

Room Tip: try to get a room on the 5th and 6th floors. the executive rooms are highly recommended.

This hotel is good, not to stay but to have the food. The buffet on Sunday night was great, and the Monday night, no buffet but we had a set menu. The service was great.
The wifi is always a mystery to me. At half the hotels we stayed at in South India it was free, here 200 rupees for 24 hours, still modest in the overall scheme of things. It has become a necessary part of communications. There is a pool and outdoor area where there is some peace from the hustle and bustle, but this is a good launching point for all the things Mysore is famous for.

Flares and long sideburns wouldn't look out of place in this hotel, it feels a bit retro but there's nothing wrong with it. There's better (the Royal Orchid next door for example) and there's worse (I'm sure), but the rooms are big, there's a small pool and spa, the wifi's reasonable (200 rupees for 24 hours), a laundry and the staff are friendly. There's a good variety at breakfast, including an egg station and you have to check out the saddle stools in the (small) bar.

The plumbing in our room was a little noisy, but not enough to keep us awake, in fact we slept deeply and well, although that may be more connected with being exhausted! The location is a little out of town, but on the other hand this means it's quiet and it is still only a walk or tuk tuk ride into the centre.

All in all a reasonable higher end, but not highest end, option.

Room Tip: Maybe try and avoid the first floor, the views of the flat roof below aren't too inspiring!
