“Excellent holiday”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 23, 2014 via mobile

Away from the hubbub side, this is for sure a must visit. Food was good and staff was cordial. Pick up n drop Facility to mall road adds up for a comfortable stay. The best was the parking, safe and right in front, which is actually a concern in Simla. Would love to stay here every time we go there.

4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 18, 2014

I traveled to Shimla for my first wedding anniversary during July 11-14, 2014. Though Fairmount did not fit into my budget based on online rates, i took a gamble and called the hotel. Since it was close to off season (July 15 - Sep 15) , I was able to get rooms for 25% lesser rates.

I found the rooms to be really neat and cozy. Having a glass window instead of a wall made me feel a bit creepy as one could see inside the rooms from the passage outside. Though there were enough curtains to cover the whole glass, it still made me nervous.

The food served is very delicious and service is prompt. The management arranged cab for us to roam around Shimla, Kufri, Jhakku temple etc...

It was a very memorable trip and Fairmount made it a hassle free trip for us.

Room Tip: Choose the higher floor rooms for better view if you can climb up the stairs.

I been there in the month of Dec 2013 with my wife & kid and must say "Its worth".
Features:
- Friendly & Educated Staff
- Clean Rooms
- Little far from Main Mall Road of Shimla but good as no crowdy area
- Delicious Food

I must rate it as 5 Star

The rooms are terrible, they are no where near the photographs shown by the hotel on their website. Completely misleading. Complete rip off for the price charged. I booked the hotel through Make My Trip and feel that Make My Trip should penalise them and refund part of my cost if they believe that they are a fair travel booking portal.
However, the food is great and the staff are very good at the hotel. The management must be disgusting since they fool people. The food is also overpriced, which they can do since there is nothing around the hotel to eat and the market and city centre is far away. Be very careful and know what you are getting in to before booking this hotel.

Room Tip: Their expensive rooms are better, but overall all rooms in the hotel are terrible for the price in m...

Stayed with my family from 8th to 10th June 2014.the so called deluxe was not up to the expectations and small too. One extra bed hardly leaves any space to move.Food was just good and not something to be remembered. Over all it was an ordinary experience.

oe reached hotel from road journey. Our driver was young guy from a village near shimla, driving at race speed. We crossed shimla, through cart road, the Oberoi, lift Shimal railway etc passed by . The hotel is located after city if you are coming from chandigarh/delhi. The area is having green landscape away from city look. No other hotel near by. DFO office in the area.Since it is hilly entire hotel is like built over hill & every next floor you have to climb over steep steps. Reception was just nice. We were given room no 401, a spacious room with extra bed in a extra room!!Due to its height we had nice view. After hot water bath took little rest. Evening, man at reception offered complimentary mall road shopping visit. We along with another gujarathi family were taken & left in front of Chief ministers hotel.& later about half hour taken back to hotel. Dinner was excellent, not too spicy with lot of veg & non veg items. They have a open restaurant area, but beware of monkeys.Negative is we spotted 4 inch Scorpio in the room which hotel guy immediately finished!!

Room Tip: Ask for room at lower floor if you are afraid of staircasing frequently.

I stayed there for 5 nights. The hotel staff was of very pleasing nature.the hotel is around 4kms from mall road..7 minutes drive from from the hotel.Rooms were good..wifi was available in the rooms..ask for valley view..sandals market is 1 km walk or 2 mind drive...However if u have u r own vechile. .It is the best place to relax..food is very tasty..u will find it bit expensive but qty is good enough.it is a home away from home..The hotel staff listen to u r queries..and try to resolve them quickly..This hotel also provides free mall road drop one time during the stay.however u can opt for pick and drop to the mall road at the charge of 400 rs.overall stay at this hotel was very gud...calm, quite atmosphere, away from the hassle buzzle of the city
