We did have high expectations and we were not disappointed. You pay 5times more for your meal than in an average restaurant and I wouldn't eat there on a daily basis with so much cheap food available around, but the whole experience was worth that price. It was a good break from the hectic indian reality, very relaxing too, with nice music in the background and attentive service. One member of the staff, who later turned out ro be the pasta cook on the day (saturday 11.08), couldn't be more helpful, he voluntarily gave us a tour around the buffet explaining what was vegetarian etc,he was very kind and professional..and the pasta he served was mouth watering! I'm a big fan of salads and there was plenty of choice and a cook ready to make a salad in front of us with ingredients we could choose.I found the "french dressing" heavy and definitely not french, but the vinegrette was perfect.
Italian pizza bread was a masterpiece, believe it or not,it tasted better than in Rome!
Raita and paneer curry were good enough, too.
The chocolate cake and strawberry mousse were on the downside, way too sweet even for my partner which was surprising as he's able to drink pure sweet milk and he's fine, it should give you an idea how sweet they were. But the presentation was spot on, not only desserts but the rest of the food looked very appealing and it was of a high standard, something you would see in a very good restaurant in Europe.
