“Loved Every Minute!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 13, 2014

We had booked shanti home for some relaxation time after our tour in India and were so glad we did! Everything about this hotel is brilliant. The service throughout is some of the best I have ever experienced, personal, genuine and world class. There is a lovely calm atmosphere at this hotel which was perfect after our hectic (but great) tour. The rooftop terrace is lovely and we had some of the best food since we had been in India. The cooking class was fun, nice to take some recipes home and the massage therapist was fantastic. We did a sightseeing day by car but the traffic was quite busy so didn't get to all the places we wanted to see. I would recommend using the metro for sightseeing its very close, efficient and easy to get your head around. I am already planning on visiting their hotel in Goa!

This should be TripAdvisor No.1 hotel in Delhi. You will not be disappointed!

Thank you Shanti Home.

Lovely hotel, very peaceful feel to this place. The staff are charming and nothing is too much trouble. The rooms are very nicely decorated. Great roof top restaurant, in the evening with live traditional Indian music. My one negative comment is that a television in the room would have been nice.

We had 2 nights in this charming hotel at the start of our fortnight in India.
The staff were excellent, sorting out transport to a restaurant they recommended (Punjabi by Nature - in a shopping complex! see reviews on Trip Adviser) as we didn't want to eat in both nights. Anyway the breakfasts (2) and dinner (1), we had at the Shanti Home were superb so there really is no need to go elsewhere.

Its not the most convenient location being a long way from the airport and the 2nd day sightseeing tour of Delhi involved a lot of driving or more accurately, being driven through chaotic busy Dehli roads. Still it was a lovely to come back and relax in the rooftop bar/ restaurant with a few beers!

We arrived late at Shanti Home after a trip to Shimla, was greeted by friendly and welcoming staff and nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was excellent with a wide choice and the freshest orange juice on our whole trip around India. It was just such a pity we were only there for one night and had to leave for the airport in the morning. The hotel staff helped us check in online at no cost. Excellent rooms all with individual names and really large. Free Wifi was also a bonus.

Room Tip: We stayed in Oh Calcutta and it was really large with excellent bathroom with wet room type shower...

I spent two great nights in this beatiful hotel!!!! Rooms are very very nice and clean. The food at the restaurant is also great, no need to go out!!. The best of this hotel is the excellent service. The staff is always taking care of you. We were very pleased. For sure I recomend it!! It is the best option in New Delhi. Service is really outstanding. I took a massage and was also great. The staff helped us to arrange a driver and airport pick up. The staff at the restaurant was just the best. We had a lot of fun with them. The hotel is beatiful and the decoration is impressive.

Room Tip: All rooms are great!!!!

We found Shanti Home on TripAdvisor, and I'm so glad we stayed there during our recent trip to Delhi. It's a charming, pretty, comfortable, spotlessly clean hotel with a warm, friendly, and accommodating staff. We arrived at around 3:30 in the morning because of a long international flight. A driver had been sent to be pick us up at the airport (this was prearranged) and there was staff there to greet us and show us our rooms when we arrived. There's a lovely rooftop restaurant -- we even took a cooking class from the chef on our final day -- as well as a small gym and yoga room. Any other service you might need, the hotel can arrange.

Shanti Home is not particularly close to the various markets and sites of historical interest in Delhi, but it's about a 5-minute walk from the metro, which will get you anywhere. Alternatively, you can book a driver or taxi. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and recommend the hotel without reservation -- as other reviewers have pointed out, it's a real gem.

The Shanti Home is a excellent adress to stay in Delhi. The rooms are lovely with good beds and big bathrooms. Wifi and breakfast is inclouded. The rooftop restaurant offers a big choice of food and drinks. The service is very good, the people are friendly and helpfull. In the nighttime the street in front of the hotel is closed. Because of that, it is very quiet outside. We will stay at Shanti Home, if we come back to Delhi.
