“Nice hotel BUT a strong negative point.”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed January 8, 2013

What a pity! The hotel is nice. Reception is friendly. The restaurant is good. Rooms and bathrooms are clean.
But an hotel must give you the opportunity to sleep.
And the palace height is so noisy that only with ear-plugs you can afford it.
Noise coming from the third floor (not an hotel property. In the reception they said there is nobody there, but it's really impossible), noise coming from the aisle, noise coming from the other rooms (thin walls?), noise coming from the electricity plant under the windows of the inside facing rooms.
I'm really sorry, but for more than 120 euro I want to sleep

Room Tip: Rooms Facing Connaught place could be a little bit less noisy

We arrived vey early in the morning in mid November. The street looked like a disaster zone but do not be put off because there are major street renovations going on for a few months. The hotel is on the upper level.
Our room was clean, modern and a good size but there was no view worth looking at. The bathroom was large and the amenities were adequate. The restaurant is exceptional. The staff are friendly and professional. Overall not a bad hotel. It is in a great location.

I stayed in this hotel in September 2012 for a few days. The service was outstanding, from the airport pickup and drop off on time, to the small touches such as the complimentary water and chocolate biscuits. The staff were friendly and very polite. The room we had was lovely. It certainly made my first stay in Delhi a lot easier. Thank you hotel palace heights

This hotel is well located in Connaught Place. While Connaught Place is in the midst of major construction work, this hotel was an oasis in the chaos. The service was terrific and the in-hotel restaurant served excellent meals. The hotel organised our transfer from the airport and sight-seeing trips in the city - all without fuss and well priced. We would definitely recommend this hotel if you are looking for somewhere close to the action.

The hotel is part of the Connaught Circle complex set on the inner circle and is close to the Metro for access to most of Delhi. The rooms are small at approx. 25 sq metres with a simple double bed and a small bathroom. There is no facility to wash and dry clothing so you will need to ensure that you find a laundry or have it done by the hotel. The restaurant is good and the quality of the food is excellent and the serving sizes are quite good.

The main issues with the hotel are that the sound proofing in the rooms is very poor. You are able to hear conversations in the adjoining rooms quite clearly and it is especially load if people stand and talk in the corridors. The other major issue is that Connaught Circle is undergoing major road works which were due to be completed in 2010 for the commonwealth games and is now over 2 years late on completion. By my reckoning it will take around another 4 – 6 years to complete so you will be required to endure Jackhammering and other load construction noise during this period. The construction work starts around 6:00am and continues until 9:00 or 10:00pm at night.

One other point to take into consideration across Delhi is that all of your hotel and restaurant bills will increase by approx. 25% due to vat taxes and service charges. This is in addition to the figures quoted by your hotel or restaurant so you need to take this into account for your budget.

I would give the hotel a good service, location and food rating but the fitout is a bit tired and noise levels are a major issue.

Good standard for a 3star hotel, unfortunately at the time we stayed there were roadworks outside that continued all night. The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. Free wifi, newspapers, water, fruit and biscuits. Restaurant next door serves lovely food, albeit a little over priced. If returning to Delhi would stay again.

We used this hotel for the first and last nights of our Indian tour. Although the rooms were smallish the twin beds were comfortable, the showers had fabulous water pressure and warmth and there were lovely touches like free newspaper, bottled water, chocolate biscuits and even fruit in the rooms. Free Wi-fi was a nice touch as well, although it seemed drop out quite a bit. Breakfast was great - lots of choices between Indian or Western style. Our first morning we enjoyed the Indian selection and on our final morning we enjoyed the western options.

We ate at the restaurant (Zaffran) twice - late lunch and then also for diinner. Although it's a bit on the pricey side compared to other places we had eaten, the service and food was fabulous. The mocktails were great fun as well. They even stayed open later than expected to accommodate us for a late lunch after a very late arrival into Delhi. Nothing seemed like too much for the staff.

Location-wise they are in the midst of Connaught Place which makes shopping fun and easy, but there are currently road works going on (subway extension) which means the streets are dusty and often inaccessbible by car, but despite this the rooms were quiet. Once inside the hotel there is no indication of the chaos outside, I would have no hesitation staying here again.

Room Tip: Rooms at the end of the corridors seemed quieter
