“Cute”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 12, 2014

At the end of the exhibition of the Crafts Museum, Pragati Maidan, New Delhi is one boutique and the LOTA cafè! There isn't much choice on the menu but what you get is pretty yummy and refreshing after a long walk in the museum area. A very good idea. THe place is clean and not smelly at all. Seating is lovely and staff are nice! The prices are reasonable. My wife and I just had some drinks to quench our thirst and it was tasty.
I presume the proceeds go towards the maintenance of the crafts museum so I appeal to one and all to indulge a little out here. The museum needs a serious facelift. Something so beautiful should be supported and the best way would be through tourism!

“A lovely way to end the craft museum visit...or intermission!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 12, 2014

We really enjoy this small outdoor cafe next to the museum shop. The ambience is relaxing. Had "Nimbu paani" (lemon water) and "Kesar Lassi"(saffron flavored lassi), along with "Mango Kheer"
(mango rice) dessert. They're all pretty good!

“interesting”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 31, 2014

Limited selected menu in a great ambience. It is a mix of pahadi cuisine and European cuisine.
It is located in the crafts museum at pragati maidan. One can enjoy shopping at the museum shop, watch the craftsmen work and see the museum inside followed by food at café lota. If one Is an art and craft lover, one can easily spend more than half a day here buying and seeing things.

“Cafe with a view”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 30, 2014

That it's opposite the magnificent Old Fort and inside a Crafts Museum, are added bonus. The cafe serves good, honest food - traditional with a twist. The portions are normal and names like "Larger Plates" can be misleading - so order one per person. Ensure you have their fabulous drinks and deserts. This is a slow food place - so spend time just enjoying the ambiance or shop at the Lota Shop, while you wait for your food. It gets very crowded during lunch - so go early or late afternoon. It is an outdoors place - so may be unmanageable during peak summers.
