We stayed at the Connaught at the beginning of a short trip organized by World Expeditions. At that point we had no experience with which to compare the Connaught, but after a month - we did! The Connaught gives the impression of having once been quite a nice hotel, however its faded glory could not hid the tackiness of the rooms and the lack of basic cleanliness. It is reasonably well located, although when we stayed there is did seem to be surrounded by building sites of one sort or another.
The hotel is okay for a night, especially if you need to be fairly close to Connaught Place, otherwise it would be wise to look elsewhere.

We stayed here in August 2012. This is old outdated hotel, hard to find, in a dark alley. It is not advisable to venture out in night. The room tv had over 150 channels but very few worked, it was painful to find something working. Bathroom was another story, tub height was highest I have ever seen; Plastic net shower curtains created small pool on bathroom floor. The only plus point is central location.

The hotel is just walking distance from Connaught Place Market, Janpath and Metro Station. Centrally located in Delhi. The rooms and bathrooms are small but comfortable.The food is good and the staff is courteous. Overall a nice experience.

Was here for a night during the end of April for a business trip. The hotel is placed excellently about 5 minutes walking distance from the CP. However the rooms clearly needs to be refurbished and all in all i guess i just paid for the location and not the room. I had a room with break fast and dinner so took the buffet dinner at the restaurant on the ground floor. Food was basic indian fare but they had some live ghazal music which created a nice environment. Breakfast was mix of indian and continental and not much choices were available. Check-in and checkout was smooth. All in all, a good business hotel, but if you are looking fora plush cozy place, then this is not it.
