“An overall Excellent Restaurant!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 2, 2013

The Qube is the multi-cuisine restaurant at the Leela Palace. It has one of the best ambience for a restaurant. Service is Excellent and comes very close to Taj service (which I believe is the best in the Industry).

We tried Indian, Italian, Oriental and Mexican fare. For starters, soup was good. Paneer Tikka was as good as other 5-star restaurants. Veg Kababs were too good, taste and flavour we had never experienced before. Quassedillas could have been better and lacked original flavours. Whereas Pasta in white sauce made up for it.

In the main course, Dal tadka was surprisingly different and almost as good as home cooked! For the first time in an fine dining restaurant, we saw Aloo-Badiyan vegetable on the menu. It was decent.Paneer preparations were satisfactory. Again, hot Lachchha Parathas were out of the world (Rotis before that were not so good).

Kulfi in dessert was good too, not very sweet but yummy.

Overall great experience but very expensive. Great place for special occassions.

“Good For Guests - More Tricky For Staff”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 12, 2013

If you're a guest at The Leela Palace then you'll probably have breakfast here. And that raises a few problems. Breakfast is always tricky as people like things done their way, and they may or may not want fuss, and they probably haven't woken up properly. And what's tricky for the staff is that they obviously have been trained to do everything for the guest - but sometimes that's not what the guest wants in the morning. There's someone to do your toast, but they are unlikely to do it how you want, so you'd prefer to do it yourself. If the chef cooks you some eggs they must be brought to your table. But you only then have to get up again with your plate to get the other items you want with your eggs. So you can end up after breakfast feeling exhausted after the battle. However, the presentation and offerings were very good. Very good cafe lattes and muffins. And the Indian breakfast looked good too.

Dinner is a whole other matter. The Qube turns a bit clubby with some rather good ' retro-feel disco' playing ... though many may hate it. The food and service were good, as was the food. The menu is international, and you'd be hard pushed to not find something you want to eat. We liked it and thought the prices were typical hotel prices which you'd find in any country.

“Disappointing service and average food”

The staff let this place down. It as great views into the garden but he menu is too busy and eclectic. Be prepared for delays, f the staff have their favourite customers in.

“It's the best”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 6, 2013

Had the breakfast every day and enjoyed the varieties of the food and the service of the friendly staff at the resturant. Had dinner at one night which was a totally different experience. Try the salmon at dinner. It one if the best
