This B&B is is a leafy community surrounded by similar large houses. It is gated and has security 24hours on the gate. It is in a guiet area but this B&B was close to the railway line and our room was on the side closest to the track and the tooting of the train horn was loud in the room, double glazing would have helped to dull the noise. The room is large and well appointed with modern furniture, the bathroom is the same a large bath and large walk in shower with rain showerhead. Our room was next to the communial lounge/tv and dining area. Should you wish to dine in you must preorder your selection off the menu by a certain time. This is not necessary for breakfast, you can order from the dining area on the morning between dining times. All meals and drinks were tasty. The owners were away overseas at the time of our visit. Our time here was ruined by the owners dogs that barked all night. They were in the undercroft area so the barking echoed throughout the building, we got very little sleep throughout the night, im not sure if this is because the owners were away, if this is so they should think of removing the dogs from the premises at this time. There is not a lot around this area but is not far to central new delhi.
- Official Description (provided by the hotel):
- Stay with the SinghsTravel has been and remains our passion. During our travels to Europe, North America Asia and Africa it has always been memories of the smaller more intimate lodges that have remained. Having owned and run our own hotel (we still own The Manor which has often been voted Delhi’s most popular hotel by Trip Advisor) for most of our working careers our own B&B renews the opportunity to welcome our guests in a more intimate manner. What we try and offer is modern comforts in an ambience that feels relaxed and secure. The fact that our home is in one of Delhi’s more exclusive colony’s in a very large private plot adds to the atmosphere. We would love to share our gardens with you and for those of you who miss the dogs back home, we have some lovable ones right here. Our cook Yogesh and his team would love to cook up some special Indian (and western) meals for you. Delhi can sometimes be a bit overwhelming; from receiving you at the airport to point you in all the right places to eat and see would be a pleasure. We have many friends all over the world that came as guests to the Manor but have remained friends over the years. ... more less
