Owner description: This architectural wonder looks like an enormous lotus blossom, reminiscent of the Sydney Opera House. Too bad the interior isn't even worth a look.

“Absolute Delight”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 1, 2014

The only place where one can get absolute peace in the noisy and polluted national capital. One can simply go in and sit in peace, no need of prayers, just close your eyes and meditate. I would go back here again and again when I am back in New Delhi. Closest metro Kalkaji mandir.

“It is all about the Architecture”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 31, 2014

The view of the building is what this is all about. As you approach the temple you will need to remove your shoes. Lining up to go inside has minimal value but you have come this far so....

“Free and worth a look”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 29, 2014

We had a long que to have bags checked, but was quick to move, so not really a bother. The temple is shaped like a lotus flower with 27 petals, and a great view as you walk towards,it through the ordered and beautiful gardens. Our feet got a bit hot on the path, after we had to store our shoes, could be a problem if it was really hot day.

“An interesting place”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 29, 2014

I liked the concept of unity of faith in one God, and uniting the different people under one umbrella of humanity.

“Long line.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 29, 2014

This looked like it would be gorgeous inside since the exterior was amazing. Our issue was that the line to get in was over 2 hours long so we opted to take a few photos with a telephoto lens and move on to the Moonlight Market--which was really interesting and probably more fun.
