“One marble in Delhi's gemstnes”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 17, 2012

The average look from outside was like a construction area but once you enter the symmetrical gardens, the arch shaped corridors, the giant facade and the view from thew top does captivate.

“One of the major tourist sites to visit in Delhi”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 16, 2012

This is a well kept heritage site and well worth a visit, as long as you visit before seeing the Taj Mahal ! We visited at sunset which gave an extra perspective and showed the intricate workmanship around the site at its best.

“Mild replica of Taj Mahal”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 16, 2012

Hats off to the govt of India to maintain the place, and preserve the monument, otherwise, it surely would have been languishing amid ruins. Indeed with all those gardens around, it would have been a very romantic place in those days. Shah Jahan must have taken a leaf out of Humayun’s Tomb before he constructed Taj Mahal.

“Great to look at”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 16, 2012

According to our guide this was actually the model for the Taj Mahal. It's made in red sandstone and white marble and is a stunning building. The inside is not well renovated and is disappointing compared to the outside. Well worth a look.
